What axel backs or cat back system do you have now?

I just had my 2 resonators installed about a half hour ago and am real pleased with the in cabin drone at highway speeds. Now I'm real happy with my off road x pipe. Its loud as ***** when wot but way quieter when crusing highway speeds.

Nice! Good to know. I will definitely consider this for my setup. I really want to go a bit more aggressive. How much drone do you notice now?

Very slight drone in hearing the exhaust hum while cruising but in no way annoying anymore. The resonators dramatically reduced the in car cabin buzzing noise. I love aggressive too and want aggressive when accelerating and WOT but didn't want to hear the loud humming of the exhaust when cruising at 75 to 80 mph on a 2 hour trip. It was buzzing loud before and now nice when on highway. Still hear a little exhaust tone when on highway but I like that.. Step on the go pedal and its loud as *****. A definite must have for people with headers and x pipe who don't want excessive in car cabin drone.

And I'm willing to bet that some Boom Spray and/or Dynamat will take care of any residual noise.
Feeling any loss in power with the resonators?

I was thinking of that Dynamat if the little left drone was still an issue for my wife. As far as power goes, the resonators were hollow and had no obstructions so the exhaust, air flow was free flowing. No power loss at all, in fact the resonators in the middle are wider round than the stock piping so actually the exhaust flow is better than before. More air flow.

Here are the resonators, all hollow inside. No need for 6 of the same picture. Good lord. Idk what happened. Lol

In the event that I decide to go with an O/R X-pipe, I will definitely be following your example. Thanks for the write up, bud.

Anytime bro. That's why I love these forums. Great source of information and a vast knowledge from people on here. Heck, I myself am leaning as I go. Lol

And back to the original question somewhat.... Out of the available x pipes on the market, is it better to have one like a Magnaflow Tru X or a Bassani, or one they is just two 45's with the backs cut out and but welded together?

That's the way I'm leaning now, along with the pypes super system.

I've read the reviews, shopped around and got tossed up between the Bassani cat back or the Flowmaster Proseries catback and the Pypes setup.

For the money, the sound, and the performance (watched stage 2 of project blackout on American muscle) it's a great deal! So for less than $700 before tax ill have a full cat back with an x pipe! Woot! Time to start saving!

In my opinion, it's one of the best sounding exhausts for these cars. It's super quiet on the highway and at idle, but rips when you step on it. Ordered another set just now.

I have the gt500 a/b with the res deleted and think its one of the best sounding exhausts out there for most of us 5.0 owners.twenty five years ago it would have been too quiet, but at 56 its purrrrfect!!
