wifey bday present to me. x or h pipe?
So the wife decided that she would ask what I wanted for my b-day
I'm trying to decide on x or h O/R pipe. Current set up is GT500 quads.
On the piping on the 13 and 14's are 3in, right and not 2.75? or is it 3 up front down to 2.75 at the muffler?

Go with an X if you want a racier, high-pitched sound
Go H if you want a deeper tone. Also, H will make more power in lower rpms vs. the x which makes more in higher rpms.

Exactly what he said. I like the deeper sound of the H pipe and the higher HP and torque in the lower rpm range also.
The newer mustangs are really too high pitched already. The X just adds to the high pitch and raspiness. The H makes a more even and clean deep tone. The hp gain between the two is very minimal. You will be much more satisfied with the H.
I think I'll go with Diva's suggestion. Since the hp is same with both, might as well as keep the h pipe and go with the cat deletes. Saves $$$$. Thanks for the suggestion, Diva.. Honestly didn't even think about that.
I saw your other posts. I'm hoping to graduate to a SC in the next year. How do you like your Magnuson?
In the end, it's subjective. If you like tamer, stick with h.
I love love love love my Maggie setup. Marilyn is an absolute beast right now. Sadly, she is tucked away in hibernation for the winter. Driving her less than a month with that kind of a mod is just to sad.

Stock h or after market h? Or either?
I had the borla s types in axleback form initially, with the stock h. It was nice, but I graduated to the borla x and full catback setup. I love the x setup much more.
But you're right diva, it's all personal preference. No right or wrong answer here.
