Others have zero issues with Steeda. Mine stalled all over. Even after revisions. Bama is good all around. Lope isn't anywhere near as mean as Steeda's, and often hunts then settles in, did an idle relearn, no change. I've been waiting 10 days now for a Revision from Bama. I've spoke to three guys looking to gladly get it fixed, but no revision or phone call from them.

As soon as I switched to my JLT intake, Steeda was out, as going forth they are only supporting AiR-Raid and the Steeda intake, so for now I'm stickin' with Bama, till I decide to venture forth to AED or Lund.

It might work better for you. I'd suggest this... Buy the tuner and get the free tunes from Bama. Since no matter what you do, Steeda charges an additional $90 for the Cam tune, at least this will give you the opportunity to try both.

Let me know if I can help you with that.

We've been offering the cam tune for quite a while and have been tuning for years now.

Ok made some phone calls today: Lund only does them on 6sp....Steeda only will do it on 93 octane...AED will do auto and with ant octane. After talking to Shaun at AED...Im def leaning toward him big time!!!!! I really like what he said and he spent alot of time with me and explained it very well and sounds like a real lot of effort goes into each tune as he wants it right. Explained all pros and cons to cam tune.

Just a FYI, got a revision today from Bama. Car feels much better, and lope has returned. Had a few stalling issues early in, but I think that was mostly due to loading up the tune then immediately hitting beltway traffic.

Stang67,

We have been offering the Ghost Cam tune now for a while now with no issues. When given the proper amount of time and letting the car relearn the idle everything goes very smooth! If you do have an issue, Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Our Ghost Cam tune is covered under our free tunes for life program. Also there is a few requirements. You must have a 11+ and you must have a cat-less mid-pipe.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can be of any assistance. I'm confident that no matter what company you choose to go with, you'll be very happy with the results!

I'll just say that Bama has been 100% amazing and very quick for revisions. I'm like on my fifth revision already, and if not perfect the first time, they made them perfect.

Don't forget to mention that you messed with the parameters of both tuners according to your other thread and then whined about the tunes.

Actually...

You can't adjust any parameters with Bama. Steeda of course, you can, but I didn't tweak much, other than the idle speed in trying to get it to not stall.

I installed Bama's cam and standard tunes w/ my stock airbox, and loved them! Though I noticed the BamaCam tune seemed like it hunted before it would really lope. So I figured I'd also try Steeda, as I was originally going to go with them exclusively. I ordered my Steeda and in a few days it arrived. I then downloaded and installed my Steeda tune. when it finished it said "do you want to make changes" I said yes. I went and raised the redline to 7200 so i didn't easily bump into it and saved it. Then I started it up and said oooh cool, fantastic lope.. Then I shut it down, and lowered the idle speed. Ohh'd and ahh'd at the cool sound, but I knew from experience that low would stall easily. Then I reprogrammed it back to the idle that it had originally been set to. Took a drive, it behaved mostly, but then I noted that it still stalled a lot. Cooled down, raised the idle to 850 which was around what my old GTO that was cammed idled at. It got better Much better! But it still stalled. Set it to like 950, and it hunted as it couldn't really settle into a lope. I then flashed back to my BamaCam tune for a day. Then I had the thought that *maybe* there was some crazy logic set in that the Steeda cam tune needed to be installed and not adjust the idle speed. So I installed the Steeda as it came. It stalled. Then Steeda sent me a revision. It was better! I could also tell that they bumped up the default idle speed, but it sure ran better. However, it stalled at every stop on the way home from Philly. Quite a few toll booths.

I flashed back to Bama again. Bama worked fine. Steeda then refunded me my money, as I was having continuous stalling issues.

Then I switched to my JLT intake. I noticed cold surging, and the awesome lope on the cam tune was kinda lost. I got a new tune. Cold surging gone, and the lope was the best I had heard! Unfortunately the car was stalling again, like on the Steeda tune. I got a revision sent out to me within an hour of my call. No more stalling, no more surging, great lope and a very satisfied customer.

All I need now is a "standard" idle tune sent to me w/ all the wonderful fixes I have in my cam tune for when I want a regular idle.

Thank you, cdynaco for calling me out so I would take the time to fully expunge on my tuning experience.

LoL, I also posted on her YouTube video. It seemed like you wanted more lope so you tried lowering idle speed.

Do all the Ghost Cam tuners require cats to be removed? Ford managed to do it on my 2012 Boss without removing them. I want lopey idle on the 2013 but i won't remove my cats to get it
