Their system depends on codes and numbers in their system and people can make mistakes. They dont have to bend over backwards just because you lost your car for a few days. The dealer shouldve re-installed stock parts so you could still have your car for the time being.
Dont blame everythin on tire rack when it was also your dealerships fault for not re-installing stock parts so you could at least drive your car. Your dealerships nickel-and-diming to try amd charge you for a second install. And your fault for not going to another reputable source like Steeda, AM, CJ, or any other large company. Tire rack is new to the suspension business in comparison so why order from them this early? No disrespect to the Tire Rack business btw.

I understand trying them out for new parts but dont expect things to be perfect especially with their new inventory.

Just my .02
thats a load of crap...sorry. If Tire rack didn't check, double-check and triple check the part numbers then they shouldn't have lined themselves up to sell the other parts besides tires/wheels. At the least Tire Rack should be contacting his dealer and the dealer and Tire Rack should be covering the cost of the second install

and they said sorry and are working on it. If a company is working on it you do not get to have it both ways.. You do not get to be super pissy and get help from them.

Gus from steeda was nice enough to post up a nice reply and got jumped for it. I would Gus has about a million times more knowledge on this subject then pretty much anyone at tire rack and this forum.

Also I do not go to walmart and expect them to tell me what fits or works. I know what I need going into the deal and tell the company what I need. Sounds like they have been work hard to fix this since the 2nd or so.

My response was not to what you stated. I didn't agree to what CCTKing stated. The OP was super pissy BECAUSE Tire Rack did not due their due diligence in setting up their data correctly and it ended up costing him in the long run. Had Tire Rack come into this thread and posted they were going to compensate the OP for the cost of having the correct components installed I would agree they were doing what they could. That isn't the case....so far anyways.

I don't agree in jumping SteedaGus the way he did. The OP was apparently told by Eibach that the older style strut mounts would not work for whatever reason. Again, I don't agree with the way he handled SteedaGus.

Not sure about your Wal-Mart reference at all. I would expect Tire Rack to know what parts are needed since Tires, WHeels, brakes, suspensions are something they claim to have knowledge of.

This was our error at Tire Rack. I can fully understand the frustration we caused not only with the original error but the difficulties we had in working to correct the error.

If I was in the same situation I would be similarly upset with the situation. The initial and follow-up posts are appropriate when considering the difficulty our handling of the situation caused.

My intention was to offer an apology and offer that we will take action to avoid these errors in the future I do not wish to cause our customer to have to defend his actions.

Our response until this point has not been satisfactory in my opinion. I am working to reduce any further inconvenience or frustration.

Despite these efforts I can understand if our actions up to this point overshadow our late efforts to resolve the situation.

I was agreeing with you. Tire rack is great for tires(bought 8 sets myself from them) but making it a one stop walmart shop doesnt make things better.

Some updates -
* OP (me) - I will post a full update when ALL is complete, I am close now, but not finished.
* Gus - sorry I snapped at your post, I know now you were only trying to help. It's been a horrible 8 days for me and my dream car, and I had previously posted the front-strut-mount answer several times already. Thank you for your input. I should have gone to you from the very very beginning, lesson learned.
* Tim - thanks for your posts and speaking with me today. I appreciate it, and I'm sure other members of this TMS forum are impressed with your involvement. So far we are on our way to total resolution, thank you.
* Herbert - you're entitled to your opinion, but I happen to disagree with you. If you go back to the beginning and read all of my posts in this thread, perhaps you might feel differently. Of course I was mad about the parts mix-up, but we all know s%&t happens, but my real disappointment was all of the events after that.
* David - my Ford dealer has been amazing. They charged me WAY below the rack rate. They followed my direction, I thought it would be better, cheaper, faster to not re-install all OEM parts, only to do it all a third time later on. Tire Rack agreed with me.
* Adrian - yes, Tire Rack is very helpful now, and we are working towards completion. I stopped being pissy the moment they showed me true assistance.
* JP - agreed, this TMS forum is amazing. All of my mods are from information from our members. Invaluable.

UPDATE - Suspension installed, Eibach Pro-System-Plus-Kit (springs, dampers, sway bars), lowers front approx. 1", lowers rear approx. 1.5", handles so much better, floatiness is gone, body roll is gone, check out the improved stance and those heavy-duty sway-bar mounts - can't wait until my next track day. Tire Rack is treating me like a valued customer, they express shipped the new parts, they will refund my cost of second install, and they will refund an additional 25% off of my original purchase price. Thank you Teresa and Tim from the Tire Rack for making it right.

That's great to hear, nice to see that there are still companies out there that are willing to do what it takes to make the customer happy.

And, in the spirit of fairness, I think you should get a mod or admin to change the title of the thread to reflect the resolution and help keep Tire Rack's reputation intact. This stuff does show up on Google searches, and some may not read the thread all the way to conclusion.
