Did it come on Saturday? I'm dying to know what is/isn't really included with this track key and what people's thoughts are regarding the lopey idle and any performance changes.

 

It came in but I am on a business trip out of town. Besides that.... I broke my right wrist and can't shift the car even if i was home

So ....why only after 7/1/13 on the build date..... Just a minor change for PCM?

 

It's because they changed the gauge cluster, earlier clusters aren't capable of the two key thing.

Earlier models have to use the ProCal version:

Nothing at all due to gauge clusters. The newer cars can store both tunes so you can use both keys. You cant store multiple tunes on earlier ones.

 

Not correct. Boss 302 cars use exact same PCM as Every other 2011-2014 mustang. The cluster is what supports the track key. Bosses had special cluster firmware and now gT does too.

 

Interesting, I always thought it was PCM related. No matter to me as I'm not getting track key. I just wish I had the launch control.

In addition, the following Ford Racing unique features are added to the vehicle abilities:

Driver adjustable Launch Control, or "2-step engine speed limiting"
Driver adjustable Pit Lane Speed Control
Lopey idle (idle is as lopey as possible while still being 50 state emissions legal)

I want to hear that!

 

So I took the car in yesterday afternoon to have the Track Key done and hit a snag. When the tech went to download the software it came back with an error message. When they called they were told the software is not available for download due to some changes being made..... In the Box was a key, a sticker that goes under the hood for emissions type info and a code for downloading the software.

When I inquired about when the software would be released the tech said he was told n ETA of TBA...which to me = WTF

 

That was not a pleasant surprise!!
Interesting that it seems a few went out but the release of the GT track key is on hold? My early order is still pending and the FRRP tech folks nor my dealer could give an eta. At first I was very surprised (read frustrated) to see you have received yours; but now it makes a bit more sense. Must be an issue they want to deal with before releasing any more.
