Angry Tore car apart...missing part

I received my MGW shifter early last week, and put it in the garage until i had time to work on installing it. Went and picked up the tools i would need the other day and thought i got everything lined up for my weekend off.

Got the car on ramps, stated tearing it apart and removing the old shifter per the video on youtube and got to the part where i need to mount the rubber strip sandwiched between the two dynamat strips. So i go cut the strips and look for the rubber strip to put between... can't find it.

So i tear apart the box, all the packaging, everything and i can't find it.

My first weekend off in a while and now i get to spend it putting the factory shifter back on.

Little pissed right now.

Left a message with MGW asking them if i misunderstood anything in the instructions or it it possibly got let out of the packaging.

Was pissed last night, but decided to try it without the rubber isolator and just the two layers of dynamat put together. So far so good, and can't tell any difference over the stock shifter as far as noise. Shifter vibrates some in my hand, but i don't care about that.

The MGW is FAR better than the stock assembly. Feels so much more solid and ran it up to redline a few times after the install and never failed once to find 3rd. 1st and 2nd are a hell of a lot less notchy now too. I adjusted the reverse lockout nut a few times and now it is perfect.
