Question Thoughts on x-pipes?

I'm starting to realize that the cost-to-benefit of doing LT's over just an X-pipe is not worth it; as a LT + XP is roughly $1000 more for the hardware (over just an x-pipe) and most shops in my area charge $1000 to install. So thats about $2000 to get aftermarket headers... for what? 10-15 more WHP over an x-pipe from my research

So now I'm looking at getting an x-pipe to work w/ a catback + stock exhaust manifolds... can anyone comment on specific designs or know of any links for dyno test comparisons?

I'm looking to see which manufacturer would be my best bet: Lethal Performance? Magnaflow? Stainless Works?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I've got the Corsa X-pipe and like it so far. Also have their axle back system, and it helped clean up the sound of it. Only complaint is I wish it was all one piece, instead of having a split on the driver's side that you have to clamp in place.

I go with an O/R X because it's much easier to swap back to the stock catted H for emissions or fix it tickets here in CA.

$1000 to install??? that sounds very strong. If it takes them 8hrs. that would be $125 per hr. I can't imagine it taking more than 4 hrs. I could be way off . Good luck with your choice. On another note, can anyone tell me if the x pipe is open to one another at the weld????
