Roush supercharger

I was going to buy the 575hp kit this evening and ran into a little issue. After months going back and forth from kenne bell and roush, I chose roush due to the 3yr warranty I can purchase to cover my powertrain. When I went to checkout There was no option to purchase the powertrain warranty. I call roush but they are closed for the day. Anyone here have any information regarding the warranty purchase? Thanks in advance

You would need to purchase the 540 hp kit and get it installed by a roush certified dealer.

575hp offers powertrain warranty as well. It says so on their website and an email sent by roush confirmed this last week.

I asked if anyone knows how you purchase the warranty.

I've always wondered, do these warranties cover the powertrain or just the supercharger components themselves?

I have a Kenne Bell on the way so I suppose it doesn't really matter to me but I was curious.

I was considering the Roush kit too, but then I just noticed that Whipple offers several warranty options, including 5-yr/100k mi (from original in service date). The order form has all of the details.

Roush told me that the kit must be installed by an ASE certified mechanic. Whipple wants their kit to be installed by one if their certified installers.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

By power train does this include the trans? I haven't looked into it, but I'd assume the mt-82 would take a **** soon after putting this much power to it.

Includes engine, internal parts of the trans and rear end. Everyone wants the most power they can get ahold of but 500 wheel horses is enough for me. I'm not sure the Whipple warranty cost but 375 for the roush warranty is way less than I thought it would be. Still waiting on response from roush.

Not sure what the Roush warrenty covers, but here is the info on the Whipple warranty. I'm no mechanic, but it seems pretty comprehensive.

Here are the rates.

Finally got ahold of roush and the powertrain warranty comes in the kit, you fill I out and send it in with the $375 payment information and they activate ur warranty for 3 yr/36k from date of vehicle purchase. Since I only have 900 miles in the 6 months I've had her its pretty much like a reg warranty.

The Whipple and roush warranties are very similar. Comes down to just personal preference. Do u get warranty on the 624 kit from Whipple? I think not but could be wrong.

Cool. Did they give any specifics on coverage? Is there a max payout? Whipple is $8k total ($5k engine, $1.5k each tranny & rear).

What did they tell you about installers?

Engine $7500, trans $1500, and 1500 rear axle. Total is $10500

Any ford dealer or any ASE certified mechanic can perform the install according to their warranty information.

Ordered it earlier and was shocked that I wasn't charged sales tax being in az. That saved about $500. Hoping to have it installed by the end of the month.

Technically, you'll have to list that on your taxes and pay up on April...at least that's the way it works in CT.

If you join the Roush Road Crew club for 35.00 dues you can order the supercharger direct from Roush and save the sales tax. Second once you receive the unit send in the receipt and they will refund you 10% of the cost of the supercharger in a check. If you have a 8% sales than this equals 480 plus the rebate 610 equals almost a 1000 dollar savings. I did this make arrange for the local Ford dealer to do the installation and then send in the paperwork and 375 and got a full 3 year power train warranty.
