Rough Stage1 SC

Well I did it. I blew my tax return on a roush stage 1 SC kit for my 2014 GT Auto. I also went to the VMP website and bought their wiring harness kit so that the only wiring I need to mess with now will be the ACT wiring mod. I think I'll start with the tamer roush tune and once I get bored I'll get a vmp tune.

Any advice for this newcomer to the TVS world on a late model 5.0 ?

I'll begin the disassembly this weekend as I wait for the kit to arrive.

Looks like you’re off to a good start. I also run the Roush phase 1 kit w/the Roush flash and the shift schedule/firmness seems spot on. I’d suggest the Roush wheel hop kit, wider (285) rear tires and AFE Pro Dry S inverted air filter (31-80179) to compliment your setup.

If you have any questions ask away since several of us have done the install.

That is awesome! Congrats! You'll never look back.
I blew all my tax return money on truck and Mustang insurance for the year.

Congratulations, you're going to love it. When I saw your thread title I thought I was going to be seeing pictures of a dented / scratched up SC LOL

I'll take you up on that offer. The most confusing part from the instructions I read online appear to be the ACT wiring. The instructions weren't overly clear. I appreciate the offer.

I am counting the days until this package arrives. Worst part is American Muscle can't get me tracking information until Monday because is was drop shipped form Roush Racing.

That's the worst part of the install, the wait time. Mine came in 4 separate packages as each arrived 3-4 days apart.

No kidding???? OMG! That would make the install a bit difficult.

I wonder why they ship it like that?

Have you tracked your car? if so what kind of times have you gotten in the 1/4 mile.

WARNING - Unless Roush / American Muscle has changed there ways since Mid 2013 you may get no tracking info and the boxes may just show up at your door. This happened to me even though I was bugging AM for tracking they stated Roush had not given them info yet. The day I got tracking information via email at work it showed the boxes delivered NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED. Got home and sure enough $6000 worth of stuff sitting outside on my porch. Luckily it all turned out fine but the potential for disaster was very high.

I got the vmp kit so they shipped the items out when it was available/ready. I'm sure me ordering it in May was a high demand time and they were probably sick of me asking them where's my stuff.

What plugs are you running in your forced induction setup? I am looking at Automate XP5363 but then I saw the Ford Racing plug on American Muscle. If the picture is accurate I don;t like the fact that there are no threads on half of the reach. That may be OK for an NA setup but I want all the thread I can get on a forced induction setup.

I'm running NKG's TR7's. Just make sure you run a plug one stage colder than stock.
