i have had the exact same issue with my procal tune. Ford Racing have denied that they have ever received a complaint about the issue and deny any knowledge of an issue. The guy I spoke to this morning said they have sold "thousands" and never had a problem. I mentioned a quick google reveals plenty of reports of this and he told me not to believe all i read on forums!
so my car went to dealer this morning and they could find no issues nor could they replicate a stall (which last happened yesterday). FR suggested a TSB for a crank position sensor, but my build date falls outside the date range for that issue. Only other suggestion was to flash computer back to stock and see if it still happens. Car does feel immediately smoother and no nose diving tach needle. I asked the FR tech how I would re-install the tune and avoid another $100 in dealer costs - he said to do it myself and it would not affect warranty!
Has anyone found a decent resolution to this issue(other than buy a different tune)? I did see you can use the procal to do an idle profile relearn - which was never mentioned by the FR tech guy - has anyone had any joy with that?

Thanks in advance.

I did a profile relearn back in May and it fixed the problem but in September it stalled again. Did another relearn and it's been ok since.
So, at least in my case, it wasn't a permanent fix. I think the FR tech was full of crap as far as this not being a known issue. Plenty of complaints on the forums and people who have complained directly to Ford Racing have not received any satisfaction.

dumb question - but what do you mean by profile re-learn? did you reinstall the tune - or is there something else you can do with the tuner device?

There are no dumb questions. It's a feature of the procal tuner. I don't know if you need the tune installed but since the problem only arises with the tune, the tune should be installed/reinstalled.
It's easy - I forgot the exact steps but the procal will walk you thru it.
I got this from another site.

"Under Programming - go to Profile Relearn, hit enter. It will throw a CEL. Blip throttle a few times above 3k RPM until the CEL disappears."
At that point you're done.

thanks! much appreciated. I put the tune back on the car yesterday and did an idle re-learn (per the manual) straight away. car has been running fine so far.. (when the dealer installed the tune the car stalled twice before i had got home). so fingers crossed all will be well...
