Opinions on muffler deletes
I'm still a little lost in what I want to do for exhaust. Been back and forth between full systems or muffler videos and I just want some opinions on muffler deletes (if you have heard them in person or have em).
I'm planning on deleting the mufflers, keep the stock resonators, and swap the h pipe to an x. I originally was planning on stainless works but just don't know about spending that much.
What's everyone's opinions on the tone of a muffler delete. The guy at the shop was saying add flowmaster 40s but I don't like their tone that much and EVERYONE has flows. I'm not afraid of loud, I just want a consistent smooth tone. I can tolerate drone as well just not overly excessive. Please help.

When I had the '07 GT Vert, I had a local shop build some deletes. Used a 4" x 18" chrome tip and they set up the mounts and a fitting so they bolted on just like the stock mufflers. That was $80 back then. Sounded wicked. I would do the same today if I was after that loudness again.

Thanks for all the input guys.
Currently waiting for the x pipe to arrive. Hopefully will have my original plan installed by Friday. Can't wait for this car to finally scream!

An update from the shop:
The lethal 409 SS x pipe without the cat deletes is giving the install guy hell. Was completely crooked and was off on the cat hookups by around a 1/2 inch. Can't save the original clamps because of the modifications made to get the x to fit. Currently getting it welded right now. Next the deletes and the 4 inch tips.
