I have one and I love it. It is well designed and the looks the best out of all the separators. Plus the Engine accessories match it. I made some custom hoses so It installs like the JLT. Only wish they had 90" aluminum elbows.

I'm running the Bob's Ultimate oil separator. It is supposed to be one of the best designs as far as catching as much oil as possible. I like that it has a convenient drain valve on the bottom. The powdercoat and AN fittings also look super trick!

Here's my Moroso. Excuse the dirty engine bay, I'd just driven the car directly home from the dealer on Day 1...in POURING rain. Like, monsoon-grade rain. That's why I was installing stuff instead of out driving. I got the Moroso, coil covers, hood struts, GT500 mufflers and Boss quads all done right off the bat. All in all a solid weekend, all things considered.

Our vp has had it on his car for over 5 years ... No issues.

It does not have far to go before it rests on the valve cover if it does sag for some reason.

Hey TJ, I'm a little confused by the directions. So I have to cut 2 1/2 inch out of the hose? Is that correct. Also, it comes with 4 of the barbed fitting, 2 are black and two are silver, I can use either the black or silver fittings correct? Also, do I use the pcv hose provided or the one that's already on the car, they are the same hoses .

Because it collects less than half the oil that others do...meaning that oil is going straight through and doing exactly what a separator is supposed to stop.

The JLT has been also known to have vacuum leaks causing the car to run lean. Something that can only be discovered when doing a data log.

Should I take it off the car then? Also what do you guys recommend the steeda, bobs, and moroso?

I have the Moroso myself, catches quite a bit of junk and the lines after the separator are always clean. Bob's and Moroso seem to be the most-recommended out there. I haven't seen any testing with the Steeda but it would surprise me very much if it wasn't good, based on Steeda's rep. I've been seeing it around a lot more lately.

OK. Should I take off the Jlt for now or leave it on? Just wondering because I'm getting ready to tune my gt.

As mentioned above, a datalog would show if you've got a vacuum issue because of it. If it's properly sealed with no leaks, you're better off with it than without it, but you'd probably be better still with a higher quality unit. Definitely worth mentioning to your tuner though.

Just installed my steeda today, I'm curious as to how often you guys find yourselves emptying the cans?

Depends how hard you're driving. I empty every 2-3 tanks of gas, but I street drive and don't often push it hard.

Yes, definitely depends on your driving habits as stated above ... you can start to monitor & see what works best for you.

Best Regards,

What type do you use? Where did you purchase them? Is your car a daily driver, weekend toy, or track use only?
