No low end power with Steeda Tune.

I have a Steeda CAI plus there 93 tune, on top it feels good but under 3 grand it just feels week also I have removed the stock exhaust with a Flowmaster axle back. Don't know if its the tune or just me ?

I had that tune and really didnt feel any loss. Only thing i felt was it surge some times in the mid range. Overall i thought it was a good tune. I recently added an O/R X and had AED re-tune it and i felt like i got a different car, crazy amounts of torque throughout the powerband

Make sure your timing is set right. I run all my tunes on 0.

It might be your loss of backpressure in your exhaust. I have a Steeda tune with GT500 exhaust and I think it is great. It may be better than when I had the Roush with less backpressure.

My experience with the Steeda 91 race tune was the same, maybe worse. It was slower and doggier than stock. I never did have them look into it though.

I had roush on my gt500 and it did feel as the low end torque was impacted. I realize this sounds foolish as it is only an axel back muffler but many other roush owners said the same. Put back my stock gt500 and things felt normal.

It must be "mental trickery" due to the difference in volume and tone earlier in the rpm band.

Call or email Gus on Monday and he can look into the tune and revise it for you. Keep us in the loop to as what he says.

He is the tuning expert and I can't really provide any other input other than asking Gus. We will get you squared away.

Best Regards,

TJ

Send me an email to tim @ steeda.com and I will make sure he receives it tomorrow.

He has been out of the office for a couple days ... but I am not making any excuses.

We will get you taken care of first thing.

Best Regards,

TJ

I have a 93 Steeda Cai/tune.. My tune felt good except for on a real hard launch with drag radials, it would fall on its face and take almost 2 full seconds before motor would regain any rpm. (same thing would happen with Stock Grey key, but trackey fixed it immediately,.. torque management?)
I contacted them and they sent out a revised tune immediately after explaining my issue.
Summer ended before I got to try it back out, but customer service was great.
I prefer Steeda before any other choices.

Rich if you ever decide to go with a custom dyno tune. Stanghi in Baton Rouge is one of the best in Louisiana.
