New Boss 302 intake manifold for 11-12 5.0
Does anyone have personal experience with the new Boss 302 intake manifold for the 2011& 2012 5.0? I ordered one today. I have read some of the disadvantages and advantages from some of the other forums about this intake. I want to know what you guys think. Who has one and do you like it? Can't send it back now, I just want some feedback.
Thanks,
SOLID

Are you auto or manual. If you are an auto you definitely need a higher stalll converter toget the car out of the hole. I am still on the stock tc and its slowing my 60's and ETs for now. If your a manual then no worries. It looks great under the hood.

One of the things I'm curious about (don't have my car yet to see how it goes) is with upping the rev limit to 7500 do you think adding FI afterwards will require forged internals?

Dude! Impressive.
You have the identical car as me.
I was wanting the Boss intake, but the loss of low end torque bothers me.
I think my auto needs more torque as it is.
I don't plan on gears or a new TC.
All I'd do is a intake and tune. Not sure if the $500 or so extra bucks I'd spend on the Boss intake would get me that much more.
When my dyno results showed 344hp/326lbft I was disappointed.
Most of the stick guys are showing 370-380hp.
But...
if I could lay down a 12.8, I'd be more than pleased.
There's a track about 90 minutes from me. Fayetteville, NC.
I'm looking to hit one of their test and tunes.
