!!NEED HELP!!steeda cai and bama tune

i installed a steeda cai and bama tune, install of the cai went great..i installed the performance tune first!when you push on the throttle the response just falls on its face ond stalls out!i put back to stock then installed the race tune and the same thing happened!so i put back to stock again but afraid to drive the car because the instructions say not to drive with out a tune because it would be bad for the engine! has anyone had this problem, suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you start the car after the performance tune but before the CAI?

Maybe try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset, or am I thinking too old school lol

Call bama ASAP they can fix the stalling for you. Make sure everything is buttoned up tight and there is not an air leak

Or get your money back from bama and call steeda for their tune. I just did the same thing you did but I got a steeda 93 octane tune.. flawless powerful operation..what really sux is you cant drive your car until bama responds with a new fixed tune...good luck!!!

Something isn't right with either the cai install or the processor code.
Check where the rubber sleeve slides over the throttle body, then also make door sure the map sensor is plugged in correctly. (u did pull it out of the factory air box I'm assuming).
Then check the other connections off the back of the cai tube. I had to get a longer length of hose to make one of the connections reach easier.

I recommend putting your stock airbox and tune back on until you can get your tune problems sorted out.

Gary,

Let us know if you resolve the situation with a call to Bama tomorrow. If you could post some pictures then we can get a better idea of how the CAI is installed. It sounds like you have gone over it and over it and made sure the connections are tight.

Let us know how it goes.

Best Regards,

TJ

Outside appearance alone looks as if though the CAI is installed properly. Let me know what Bama says and if we need to dig deeper on our end, I can have the Tech's help out.

Thanks

i called bama this morning and they did a revision on the tune,so i reinstalled the cai and the tune!much better..seems to have woke the car up a bit!i thought there would be a crisper throttle response, but i guess not.still a slight initial
hesitation...but much better.
