I really wanted the Kooks exhaust in the video I posted with the black car, but that car is the kooks FULL exhaust. I heard a car with an o/r x and the kooks axleback and it doesnt sound the same cause of the factory resonators, which would mean I have to get the full catback and than the o/r x which would be just as expensive as the Borla.

I think I am just going to get the roush axlebacks with the after cat x for now, since I cant take how disgustingly quiet this car is (I came from a 2010 with longtubes, o/r x and borla stingers lol), and than maybe in the spring when I have a little bit more cash change it for a kooks full exhaust if I really want to. I dont want to tune for a while and I'm not crazy about using 02 non foulers to keep the CEL off, and the Roush's dont sound too far off from the Borlas and are less than 1/2 the price.
No problem for the video, glad I could help! The Roush AB do really provide a good bang for your buck.

Cost-wise and expandability, I would strongly take a look at Kooks. Catback system should come close in price to Borla's axleback system. What I really like about them is the choice of configurations. Axleback, catback, 1-3/4" or 1-7/8" headers, off road h-pipe or x-pipe, catted h-pipe or x-pipe. I like the way the polished tips look coming out the rear(Borla tips stick out a little too far for my taste). Sound is just right with the option to unleash-the-beast!

Well i made a decision and went with the roush axlebacks. This may be temporary setup, not really sure cause I LOVE the sound of the Stainless works or Kooks full exhaust setup, or the borla S type CATBACK, but dont want to tune until I have about 5k miles on the car so maybe in the summer. The roush's were the only ones I heard in person so far and loved the sound, and the cars WAYYYYY to quiet for me (I came from a 2010 with longtubes, o/r x, and borla stingers).

I would like to get an after cat x pipe though and possibly cut out the factory resonators. Any suggestions here?

You don't have to tune with a Catback so you coulda got the borla system.

No I know I dont have to tune for the catback, the only issue with the borla catback is its $1200 and I didnt feel like spending that on a catback, sorry forgot to restate that but I said it in my first few posts.

I really liked the sound of the Kooks with the o/r x pipe but I would need a tune for that (or take the cheap way out and use non foulers which I wasnt too crazy about).

I am going to order the BBK after cat x pipe and install it at the same time as the roush's, than if thats not enough I am going to remove the resonators. I think I will be happy with the x pipe and roushs for now though. Than in the summer when I decide to tune I will go full kooks or stainless works exhaust

Well I just heard a 2011 5.0 with the roush (which I bought ;]) axle backs and omfggg it sounds amazing!!! Videos really dont do ANY exhaust justice cause it sounded quiet on videos but they really are pretty loud.

I think I am going to "make" my own catback and just get the bbk x pipe, cut out the resonators and put the roush axlebacks on. They are loud but I'm hoping deleting the resonators will make it as loud as I want it to be.

This is basically my setup, except I have the Pypes X. This is an incredibly good sounding combo. However, be forwarned...it is LOUD. It is amazing though, and totally worth the volume.

Okay, this might not be loud enough for you, but I LOVE the new GT500 axle-backs from Ford Racing, just got them installed last week. The improvement is night and day compared with stock. Only $270! Check out my video and pictures, and I hope this helps you.

Mbreinen - is your pypes X an off road pipe or just behind the factory cats?

It is a splice in behind the stock cats. It is a great deal at $125.00, and it is all stainless. However, it has to be welded to the stock pipes since it does not neck down to 2.75 inches. It does bolt in behind the cats though. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased a pair of 3 inch band clamps and had my guy weld in a short section of 3 inch at the head of the over-axle pipes. That would have enabled the whole affair to bolt together.

How much did the dealership charge for the install?

Well, I kind of got lucky. I'm very impressed with my Ford dealer (Ford County in Henderson, NV). When I went to price my new tires (255/40 19 Continental Extreme Contact DW), Ford price-matched the price I had printed out from Tire Rack (without shipping!). So I thought I would push my luck, I asked Ford to also re-set the TPMS, re-calibrate my speedometer, and install my two GT500 axle-back mufflers...all for FREE. And, guess what? They said YES! So I got real lucky. But they had to keep the car for two days to get it all done - which I could live with. Normally, though, they would simply charge a one-hour-minimum labor to remove the stock mufflers and slap these on...$100.

Sounds sweet man. Do you think the FRPP X makes the car a little louder then just the Roush AB? I am looking for a little more volume. Sounds alot cleaner tho!

Also where did you get the X pipe and is it a complete bolt in part?

I just got a FRPP xpipe to compliment my Roush's. As soon as I get my car back from the dealer I'll put it on.
