I had to remind myself of the original 'look' that i was after when i decided to customize my mustang. So here is a side by side of the gt500 with colors and stripes that I liked, superimposed on my actual car to date

I took mine a bit further and personalized it :P
Looks like you stuck to your plan. I've always thought yours is the best 'vert on this forum, and among the best overall, coupe or drop top.
thank you very much Tom. My goal was to look oem with personal touches. badging was never a concern to me. Blue with white stripes was always my favorite color scheme on any mustang.
time for a little update...
After winning 3rd place at the show last weekend, plus becoming more aware of the braking limitations on the stock GT, i decided to order the m-2300-T brembo big brake kit from american muscle.
Original equipment on 2013-2014 Shelby GT500
Six piston Brembo front calipers
Single piston GT500 rear calipers
Brembo vented brake rotors: 15" front, 13.8" rear
My 410 gears are also going to be installed the same day. So within the next 2 weeks my car will essentially be complete for this season. 2 more shows to go this summer.
