So if I run a wide open tube with no filter, the PCM can adjust vs choking it down with a filter? And/or different flow rate filters??

Yes! The MAF is cooled by the air, and more voltage is sent to the wire to heat it. A clogged filter won't flow, thus wont cool the wire as wide open.
the PCM references how much voltage is sent to the MAF to know how much air is coming in.

You don't need anything that big.

But don't you get to the point where the intake & ports are at max flow regardless how large the intake tube is?

LOL. I did not intend to come off as a "know it all", though I'll stick by my statement.

But its your car, your money, etc. Knock yourself out!

I'd prefer 200mm and 8" tubing.

+1 I don't see any way this design is getting any cool air.

I think they wanted to get it out there fast. It's no better than a K&N or BBK no tune cai...

I will post up an unbiased back to back test of this unit very soon. I ordered it direct from their website this evening and I have no affiliation with MMR.

I will be in Indiana tuning next week but when I get back the CAI should be here and I will test it right away.

I still think it would flow better with more straight tubing in front of the throttle body before the turn.

I'm interested to see how this unit pans out given the claims by the manufacturer.

I'm pulling the heads off so the pistons can get the best possible flow.

Oh yeah? Well I'm mounting the engine to the front bumper for the ram-air effect!

I like the way you are handling all the mods and tuning, people will spend plenty of money on their cars especially if the data is accurate and nice improvements are made i.e real world gains etc... thanks

Our car will be here soon and I will (as always) post up dyno graphs of all testing INCLUDING A/F readings.
MMR, why not post up a/f readings and dyno graphs??????
