A search will net you a lot more results. We've addressed this, seriously, over 20 times in the last year. Please use the search function as it will save you and us, a ton of time. Just type in three letters..."MGW". Hit enter. And spend some time reading.
What you'll find is an overwhelming majority towards MGW.
Case closed.

People swear by MGW. It's extremely high quality and design. If you did the steeda shifter, you'd have to also get the bracket to be apples to apples.
Personally I have the steeda bracket only. I love it (red insert). If I did a shifter, I'd do steeda. Not bc I don't feel that the MGW would be amazing. But bc I would only want slightly reduced throws. Steeda does 20%. MGW does 30-35%. And Barton does 40% which IMO is WAY to much and also makes it super notchy.
Steeda is still quality stuff. So I'd consider throw reduction and not only quality and user feedback.

Another testament: I've had my car for a little over a year and installed an MGW about two months in. The trans is still notchy, but I do not get locked out of gears anymore. I can slide right into third after wringing out second. I added a braided stainless clutch line and modified Whiteline mount a couple months ago, but these made a negligible improvement.
The MGW was not too hard to install, just tight on space and time consuming.

I have the Steeda shifter now and it has a great feel to it paired with the Barton and whitline bracket...
But I bought a used mgw unit a few weeks ago and hope to install it this week to see what all the hubbubs about. Hopefully the throws don't feel too short for DD use.

I just finished my MGW install today and went for a ride. Holy crap!!! I can finally rip through the gears properly. This should have been my first modification. Outstanding change. I read all the comments and the actual product performance still blew me away.
My car also has a Whiteline Trans mount bushing that I cut off the middle piece due to excessive NVH. I did not notice any added NVH from the MGW shifter.
The install video from MGW was very helpful and needed. A bit of a pain, literally, to do this job on jack stands but not difficult if you take your time.

I finally installed my MGW shifter today. Agreed it was a pain in *** to installed on ramps. Luckily I'm a skinny guy. Took me almost 4 hours. I took my time while watching the installation video. Definitely a huge improvement over stock.

Is the Steeda the same as the SR Performance shifter? They look identical.
Best Regards,
