MGW Shifter Ordered

My only worry is that EVERYONE has said theres more noise. Im gonna add sound deadener to the outside of the shifter box underneath car and some to the tunnel under the car.
John, thanks for doing this... you are a forum-quoting-search-using God.
Definitely do this. Worth every penny, imo, and in the opinion of all other MGW owners.
Sai, unrealford is correct in his statements above. The leading bushing changed in shape and color (now it's red), and there are now 4 bolts on the side of the clamshell (instead of 3) to help with stability and ease of install of the shifter arm. There is no increase in difficulty in shifting into reverse, per se. The spring has a more solid positive feel, which gets a tad looser as miles rack on. It's perfect now. Does it require more effort to shift into reverse now versus stock? Yes, but in a better, manlier way
The best part of the MGW shifter, is just that, SHIFTING. Vagueness is gone, and replaced by solid, reassuring shifts, esp 2 - 3. I really wish you could feel and try out someone's MGW before buying/installing one. But ask ANY mgw owner, and have them compare it to stock. Not even close.
Noise-wise, yes, there is an increase in NVH, but from what I observed, only in terms of the shifting process. Meaning, you can hear it ka-chunk into place...which actually I find very engaging. I love it. It's reassuring....reminds you that you're driving a beast. Love it.

^ congrats man! Worth EVERY penny
I felt that way too initially... "Dang, that's expensive for a shifter!!!" Then you see it arrive in the box, open it, feel it, install it, then drive it. Then you think to yourself, "Ahhhh... I see why it costs this much.". Then you keep smiling as you shift into the sunset.
... there goes my poetic rambling for the day

Can't wait to get it. They said 3-4 weeks. We'll see how accurate that is. I really don't want to wait 8 weeks. Lok
