I live I western Canada, and I can tell you when it's -30 or -40 outside, the stock shifter gets mighty hard to move. ALMOST impossible.
And as well, I only have 2800 Kms on my girl so far so it still has the factory oil, and that stuff is no good at those temperatures. 20+ minutes idling to defrost everything and get that oil nice and warm. When I was banging gears at the track on my stock shifter, I guess I was revving too high in 1st and grinded second/got locked out until I lowered the RPM's. (Virgin pass)

I too am looking to order the MGW short throw shifter, along with a GB shift ****. Was thinking about the raxiom digital shift ****, but the GB seems so much more... Classy??

Just had the MGW installed on my 2012 GT. Does all that was promised - only got one day of driving on it, but it's light years better than the oem. No more trouble upshifting from 2 to 3 in spirited cornering. Get one!

I do think that MGW should also send paper instructions with the kit. The online video is the instruction manual....

I think they should send a copy of the video with the shifter. No way paper instructions would explain it. Once you get a few hundred miles it will get even better
