Long or Short Tube Headers
I have a 2013 GT Premium, I have the BBK X-Pipe and the Roush Cat Backs.
Stock Header manifolds and Cats, What aftermarket header should I be looking at? Long or Short Tube?

Don't waste your time and hard earned money towards short tube headers.. Your OEM exhaust manifolds are very efficient flowing compared to the pre 4.6 3v days prior to 2005.. If your looking for more efficiency and performance over the stock manifolds, your best option is Long Tube Headers..

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Do you want more low-end torque (shorty) or high-end hp (LTH)? With the shorty you can keep the stock cats, which robs power but is more environment-friendly. With Long tube, you will be removing the cats, so the exhaust sound will be very loud for the Streets, but you will get the most gains for not having the restrictive cats.

As for any low end torque gains from shorty headers are concerned, they'll be so minimal in which they won't even be noticeable.. As for Long Tube headers, they're also available with high-flow cats for those who don't want an exhaust sound that's too loud for street applications..
This I know through personal experience, as I swapped out my stock H with cats and upgraded to a Mac high-flow catted prochamber.. The high-flow cats did not improve low end torque over the factory H pipe at all, in fact I actually lost some due to no longer having enough back pressure.. Needless to say I was not pleased with the Mac high-flow cats whatsoever and reinstalled the factory catted mid pipe as a direct result..

I'm with Rocky on this one. Honestly, I'm not really sure what the point of shorty headers is on a Coyote. It's a lot of money for not too much gains. Are you after the unique sound and serious power? If so go LT.

Marty ! The OP might be able to squeeze just a few more ponies from perhaps JBA equal length shorty headers, but I wouldn't depend nor expect it

I say Long tube and high flow cats. Mufflers will control the sound. If the roush cat back is to loud try some other mufflers. Just don't go to american muscle for a tune if you do go long tube.

It's really difficult to say, as it all boils down to personal preference.. What you think may be too loud, may not be for someone else and so forth.. I can say that high-flow cats are going to provide a louder exhaust note over a factory catted mid-pipe, but I can assure you that a high-flow cat will provide a quieter exhaust tone over an off-road exhaust with no cats at all.. Your most important factor however, is the type of axle backs your going to be running.. As the type of axle back muffler is what affects the loudness of the exhaust more than anything.. Anyway just my $.02

So according to the graphs posted, just where exactly is the power band ? Where are the power number comparisons illustrated anywhere on the graphs, nowhere WTF:

Burton ! When you did switch over from Corsa to Magnaflow ? I recall you loved the Corsa's so much because of the design quality and how well known they are for not droning

I replaced them last year, maybe spring-ish. Why? Because when I got the Kooks stuff, the whole combination of the setup (full free flowing) was amp'd up exponentially. It gave me "unwanted" attention from the popo if I were to get on it. Plus, it got a little tinny/raspy at upper rev's - Not Kooks fault, but because of the combination of my full exhaust now, with headers, etc.
The RTR Magnaflows are the best setup now with what I have. Nice and low and menacing.
