Koni Sport Struts &Shocks

Just received the struts 15 minutes ago. Just in time for my Friday installation appointment! I didn't think they would arrive in time. Had the rear shocks for some time now. This completes the suspension work.

You should contact the manufacturer - the one on the left is upside down! It'll never work that way!

Seriously though, you'll love them.

I was informed by the shop that they have been installed, but won't know how they feel until Monday. Awaiting alignment and a few other parts are also being installed. I can't wait!!!

Are you going to install them yourself or are you going to have a shop do the honors? I supplied them with a few one-time-use, a.k.a. torque-to-yield, nuts & bolts(maybe not required for a low mileage car, but rather be safe than sorry) and they recommended and installed the FRPP Jounce Bumpers due to the lowering springs.

I'm having a shop do the install, don't have access to a lift or tools.

Makes sense about the nuts + bolts, where did you pick those up it you don't mind me asking? Or are those the ones that came with the shocks/struts?

Got me a set of those FRPP Jounce bumpers as well - which springs did you go with? Can't wait to hear your impressions!

Going on vacation so I won't be able to get them in until later this month.

I ordered the torque-to-yield nuts/bolts from a Ford Dealership's Parts Dept. The Koni struts/shocks came with a small package of hardware, but not the nuts/bolts I mentioned. Hopefully, I'll be picking the ride up by tomorrow evening... a few issues arouse during other part installations.

How much did they run you?! Which nuts did you buy? Just the 8 for the fronts?

Geez I think I've spent over a 100 in little odds and ends for this install lol

-Strut-To-Wheel Spindle Bolt(2 Required per Strut) [Part # W714652]
-Strut-To-Wheel Spindle Flagnut(2 Required per Strut) [Part # W714653]

MM has them $23 for ONE strut so you'll need 2 packs. Haven't called my dealership yet to see what they'll charge me.

Did you get the 2011+ specific Koni Sports? I just ordered those and doing the same Steeda Sport/HD Mount setup along with a Fays2 watts link. Post pics when you get a chance of the new setup!

Also, did you add the FRPP jounce stops to the front and rear or just the rear?

Yes, they are the 2011+ specific Koni Sport Struts. The FRPP Jounce Stops added to both the front and rear.

Also, those are the exact parts, with part no.'s, that I ordered. Thanks for posting them. I couldn't find the receipt.

Picked up car yesterday, and how does it feel... I'm going to have to hold judgement for another couple weeks of break-in, but I will say this... Koni Sport Shocks are a huge improvement over the stock shocks. The Steeda Sport Springs are noticeably stiffer, especially over large bumps and road imperfections(that's the majority of NYC!). Steeda Swaybars definitely put some control over the body roll. Everything feels good over well paved roadways. Need to figure out how soft/firm I should set the shocks for daily driving.

I'll post pics before the weekend is over.
