JLT Oil Separator problem maybe ?

Had my jlt on ,y car since 50 miles and it has cought a lot of oil vapors that would have gone into the intake manifold. But when I did my supercharger install and boss intake manifold, there was a a pretty good amount of oil in the stock manifold! So I know it works just not as good as others. So I am looking for a better one and may try the moroso one or the endyn one!

I installed my JLT today. Doesn't require a bracket and I love that it uses the stock tube material as Ford.

OP... I can understand your concern for the JLT catch can being suspended between the PCV hose in such a manner. With engine motion caused from acceleration/deceleration, huge bumps, big potholes, etc., it just may pose a future problem.

With that said, I do like how the JLT's piece looks under the hood. The PCV hose appears and fits just like stock and, depending on which finish you choose, can be very inconspicuous under the hood. It's also convenient if you need to do a quick swap from the separator to a stock hose.

Bob's Auto Sports oil separator looks like a very good piece. It reminds me of the Moroso oil separator(in regards to having a support point), but in a much more feasible size to be positioned under our hoods. I also appreciate that they offer a choice of fitting upgrades for the separator.

I deleted those when I tuned my 07 and they looked nothing like that. I used the "A" word in my crankcase

Installed Bob's oil separator the other day. This is a very high quality piece, and it's great that it can be mounted to the strut tower.

You didn't talk to us I can tell you that.

We have threads all over about this and have been replacing any broken fittings with either aluminum or glass filled plastic to anyone requireng them.

Aluminum straight with a glassfilled 90* have been shipping in the oil separators since aug. 2011.

If you need anything give us a call.

As for hanging, the separator weighs 3.5 Oz's and will cause no issues at all.
We use them for street, drag racing and road course action without a single problem.
Easy on, easy off and a OEM look

I'm thinking about getting the bobs oil separator. At of you guys have tips for install. I'm really not the most engine savvy guy so some detailed info would be great. Also if I buy the separator from bobs does it come with all the parts needed for install? Bc I see you can order standard 2 or 4 clamps on the website. Thanks.

I got the standard, it comes with everything needed, and the only real work is a bit of measuring and cutting. Very easy install.

Mine came with instructions for a 05-10 3v 4.6 but it installs essentially the same way and in the same place. Separator will bolt on left side under strut, unhook stock hose, do a little measuring and cut included hose, hook it all up and clamp it down, done.

May need to take new pics, these seem a bit blurry after uploading them.

Like Steven said, it's a fairly easy install. Just take your time and you will be pleased with the results.

He will in the spring, but it's really not necessary. Just browse through the SVT forums on the topic and you'll see numerous posts where Bob's simply outperforms the JLT separator.

I do like how the JLT looks like a factory component and is so easy to install though.
