Might be able to call and negotiate better shipping... just passing along the info for anyone interested. Seems there are a number of these available new and used out there at the moment.

Mine are scheduled to ship tomorrow, might have them installed Wednesday night if they show up by then!

These sound great on the 3.7 V6 as well. I bought a set used off of the classifieds on this site last year for a couple hundred bucks. Great idle sound, nise sound when you are "on it", and quiet cruising to allow for listening to the Sirus radio. To install on the V6, you'll have to have the tubes cut from the V6 mufflers, and welded to the GT500 mufflers (after their tubes are cut as well). This was another 80 bucks, and that included the install (needed to get it lined up).

The GT500 mufflers are heaver than the stock V6 (and perhaps aftermarket axlebacks), but they were what I liked in sound, price, and quality.

I will have to look at some YouTube videos of the V6 with these mufflers. I know that engine sounds pretty good too!

I've had the GT500 mufflers on for about a month now- love em! They come as part of the Ford Racing Performance Package for $580 on AM (who gives a 6% discount to members of this site)- so you can get mufflers AND a tune for about the same price as the Roush mufflers. My neighbor has the Roush mufflers, and they do sound a little louder than the GT500- but not 2x the price worth IMO!

I may take out the resonators by I have a feeling the mufflers will be just loud enough for me. Supposed to ship today.

Next up are handling modifications I think

Is your car a 300A or 301A?

300A. Only extras I wanted were track package and recaros. Otherwise it's as option free as possible.

Same. It's a rare combination.

ahhhh memories. I remember selling these to you last year? or this year? I don't remember. Either way, I'm glad you're enjoying them.

To the OP... congrats.

But maybe to some people the GT500s are enough volume, but for me, it lasted less than a year. It had a great tone, but needed some more volume. I suggest saving another bucket of $$$ for the future addiction satisfaction

That's why I'm going with the Boss 302 H pipe and side exhaust, plus GT500 ABs. Hoping its the perfect combo.

Can't remember myself when it was.

As I have mentioned in a lot of these exhaust posts, it's up to the driver as to what they want to hear. Me, I drive long distances each week. I like my radio while cruising. these GT500's provide the best for me; great idle, great tone when I stomp on the drive by wire pedal, and mellow cruise tone. No drone, no "cop attention" getter. And no worries of being mistaken for a Honda when coming down the street.

Mounted my gopro to my rear bumper the other night for some stock video footage so I can compare with the new mufflers. Haven't seen any YouTube clips of that angle so figured it might be good! Mufflers showed up yesterday I am excited to put on the first mod next week

Same here. All the go fast bits from the Boss, with no extra weight

Yep I wanted a boss but couldn't justify the money. So I got the "wanna-be" boss

Extremely easy install. Removed the forward bracket on each side and left the rear bracket. Took about 30 mins after I got tools out and jacked the car up. Only started it up in the garage since I finished at 10 pm. I like my neighbors and want to keep them liking me too

I will finish up my sound comparison in a couple days and post. The rear bumper mounted camera angle should be a nice comparison
