GT500 mufflers headed my way :)

Been looking for a deal for a while, finally found a set for $180. Headed my way next week. Can't wait to actually hear my engine

Where did you find them for that price, if you don't mind me asking? I'm guessing they must be used?

Correct, used - actually found them on ebay after keeping an eye out for about 4 months.

Although I just found a set brand new for ~$265...

Well that's a nice find, in any case! I hope you love them as much as I intend to when I get mine.

Yeah I hadn't planned on getting any upgrades (aside from my brake pads) till the winter, but I tried out PayPal's new "bill me later" thing so I can slowly pay for the mufflers over 6 months with no interest. Small thing to make payments for, but I'm also a bit cash poor at the moment after just buying the car and covering a couple big bills this summer...

interest free loan for 6 months is perfect

My issue is more my wife... Love her to death... And she did let me buy the Mustang. But apparently in the process of begging her to buy the car I told her if I ordered it how I wanted I would not need to buy things for it. Other than maintenance stuff. Exhaust does not qualify?! Guess I have to wait for the newness to wear off...

Ah, gotcha - yeah, that does add an extra element of challenge for modifications... I never made such promises, and I just don't bother mentioning any car related things to my wife. Took her a couple years to get over me tracking my Audi, but she doesn't care too much now as long as we can afford everything!

And perhaps I buy her an occasional dress

If you look on Ebay, be careful as there are a couple mufflers listed as 2011 GT500, but they are actually 2007-2010 GT500 or Mustang GT OEM mufflers... I learned the hard way by committing to a purchase and then finding out they were the wrong ones. Got refunded quickly fortunately, but it was a PITA

Congrats! Mufflers and tires are the easiest and most gratifying first upgrades. I got used SLP Loudmouths and some GT500 rims, added Michelin Pilot Super Sports and the car is transformed.

Are they actually off of a GT500? I'm sure you will love them. I am considering mufflers next for mine too.

I _LOVE_ my mac, they should have put thumpier cans on from the factory. I hear that the 500 are perfect, mine have some drone but it's not a daily drive. You're gas milage will go down BTW, you'll like more right foot. Congrats!
