I'll try my best in the next few days of getting some decent sound clips. I stood outside while I let my gf drive around the block and WOW. Deleting the resonators was a great decision. The tone and hint of rasp makes the car sound nasty from the outside

Gonna put these on mine with the resonators at first. Thinking the resonators won't stay long though.

just delete them as soon as you can. I procrastinated and waited almost 3 months, wish I would've done it the same day

what did you pay to have shop remove resonators if you don't mind me asking? Also, were they able to do all the welding of the new pipe with the exhaust on the car?

Hay anyone removed their resonators themselves without paying a shop to do it? Im wondering if I can do it with some pipes, connectors and clamps. I couldn't find any walk-throughs on the internet

Edit: I went to an exhaust shop and they are going to delete my resonators and weld in new pipes for 55$. I can't wait to hear it!

You have to have them cut out then straight pipe welded back in. It only cost $50.00 to have mine done.

It sounds good from outside. Do you have any videos from inside the car? I am also guessing according to your post above that you have the resonators removed?

Vids sound great... Although I do notice though that under heavy throttle, though the sound is undeniably louder than with the resonators, removing them makes the sound a little more high pitched compared to the low throaty sound of the gt500s. Anyone else notice this?

I can get some today for you all. And yes GT500 axle backs w/o resonators.

Under heavy throttle it is definitely louder. I think the little bit of rasp that was added comes through the camera's microphone as being higher pitched. I wouldn't say it is high pitched at all. I'll try and get some drive-by/fly-by videos as well.

They're all like that. Supposedly they don't impede any airflow since they are basically a straight through design.

This. The passenger's side resonator has the same thing, but it is on the top

Sorry it took so long, had some issues uploading it and it took forever to process. I'm working on getting the in car videos up.
