GT 500 axleback's installed

I'm so excited, I just got a killer deal on a set of GT 500's for my 2013 GT. Apparently a guy had these installed at a local shop and liked them for a few days the. He brought the car back and had them put the loudest exhaust possible on and asked them to sell the GT 500's, and I just happened to call at the right time, I got them for $200. They are in perfect condition, and they sound awsome.

Wish I could find a deal like that. I heard a comparison on youtube and really liked the deep sound of the GT500 types.

These may as well have been brand new, so I think I did pretty good, I am still thinking about doing a resonator delete for a little more volume

Good deal - I got a similar deal on a set $180 plus $20 or so shipping. Car sounds so much better with a little exhaust volume

No doubt, just wanted to point out to those who are disappointed in not getting as good a deal that a new set isn't that expensive.

Talking about the single tip mufflers here. The dual tip mufflers have to have the 13-14 GT500 lower valance installed as well to be able to use them. And then you're talking about some big $$$ to do that.

Yeah I couldn't believe I ran across these like this. I was checking to see if I could pick up a set next payday. I was actually going to pick up a set of corsa's street axle backs for $400.00 from a guy locally, but I thought maybe if the shop I called had the GT500's in stock, I would have a choice. But when the gus said he had a slightly used set for that price, I had to jump on them.

When doing a "Bang-for-Buck" comparison, the GT500 mufflers always come out ahead by light-years. Chop off the resonators for even better sound.

There's a reason why he got rid of them you'll get the itch too... Matter of time. Happened very similar to yours truly.

I don't think so, I research the mods I plan on doing in great detail, I try to make the decision with a lot of thought as to how far I plan on taking the project. I know that the next step is to delete the resonators, and then install an X pipe. That's as far as I plan on going with the exhaust.

Yep same. Details, research, plans... Yep did it all. In the end, the desire creeps in and eats away at you like a bad (but good) fungus

It's a must, otherwise changing the axle backs are kinda pointless, don't half-*** it!
