Hey guys, finally got my first mods completely installed. I had ordered the car back in June of last year, and ordered some mods that night.

I always loved the classic cue ball/billet arm look from Hurst, so I picked that up. A few days later I ordered the Barton 2 post as well.

Got the Hurst installed from inside the car, I was able to have a friend push it out of the way a bit to get to the 4th bolt from inside the car. I didn't bother with the replacement bushing. Driving with the Hurst vs stock is awesome. Throws are very short, and felt pretty solid. Kept it this way for a few months.

Just got my Barton 2 post installed this weekend (my driveway is not really good for jacking the car up, so I went to the shop I go to when I don't feel like getting dirty). First off, the factory piece was a joke. My mechanic thought it was made of styrofoam! Wow, is it awesome. NVH went up a little bit, sometimes at idle you can hear a little more noise, and shifting is louder but in a good way. Shifting has a nice, rifle bolt action feel to it and almost sounds like a gated manual as it snicks into gear. Shift effort went up a tiny bit, but overall I'm really happy with it.

Almost 4k miles so far, no issues with the MT82 yet. Much better than my old Genesis Coupe manual, that thing had horrible 2nd and 5th gear grinds and I needed to use Redline Heavyweight Shockproof to fix it.

I'm also ordering a tuner soon and maybe a CAI, although I don't really think the gains are worth the extra money. People seem to trap around 115-116 with a tune and with or without a CAI.
