Ford racing pro cal tune
I've been running mine for a couple months now, including a weekend at the track on 93 only and it had performed perfectly for me. There is definitely a boost in low end torque, and some power increase up top. The biggest change I noticed is that it actually engine brakes under deceleration now. The stock calibration really didn't know what to do when I was heel-toe downshifting. It would zing the rpms to 7k and hold it there when the clutch was in and blipping the throttle. Now it acts way better. I am real pleased with this calibration, and my dealership was able to register it with frpp for the warranty.
cool I had an audible ping today and set the octane adjust to n and it has not done it since. and I have an CEL light come on with the code P0315 for cam learning. I was scared to death so i looked it up and followed the instrutions on the tuner and it went away. and the ping is gone go figure but yes it pulls like a train now lol

i pulled this from one of the forums its been the case for mine and I double check for codes and came up negative thank god
The solution is this:
The code will not hurt your car so just drive the car around for 10-15 miles varying the rpm's and see if it goes away. If it is like mine and does not, after driving for 10-15 miles, find somewhere to stop the car like in a parking lot while it is running and hook up the procal tuner and go into one of the settings called "profile learning" or something and it says to blip the throttle past 3k rpms and once you do this one or two times, the code should disappear. After it goes away, you can go back and verify the code is gone by checking for DTC's.
I have also called Rey (technical support) at Ford Racing and he said that getting the P3015 code is unique to the 2011 mustangs and that it should go away on it's own after driving the car for a while and that it won't hurt anything. I recommended that Ford Racing update their instructions for the 2011 mustang to compensate for users getting this code and thinking there is something wrong.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any more questions. Being the guinea pig was not fun for me.

So far I am loving mine, even on KC area's crappy 91 oct.
I'm considering the procal myself. I want something very tame that won't have a huge affect on my long term reliability. I have a 12 so removing skip shift is also a big win for me. The whole ping thing scared me. Does ford racing do anything for this or is it a sorry sucker moment if you have the evil ping?

In my opinion, the ProCal provides the kind of driving experience the Mustang should have come with from the factory.
A ProCal in your 2011+ 5.0 Mustang may be for you if:
1) You don't have a personal Money tree growing in your backyard and can't afford to cough up the cold hard cash to replace a $8,000 -10,000 engine should you end up with a Cyl# 8 issue from a "aftermarket" tune.
2) You like Improved gas mileage (I have seen MPG's of "mix" driving go from 14-16mpg up to 16-19mpg)
3) You live in the Midwest (KC for example) and only have crappy 91 oct Premium (95% of which is loaded with crappy Ethanol).
4) You prefer a "Drivability" Tune over a "All-out, on the ragged edge, Race" tune. Sure an "aftermarket" tune will get you an extra Tenth or Two at the drag strip, but unless you "live your life a 1/4 mile at a time" then its not a huge deal.

If your car ends up being one of the few cars to have a Ping issue you can to a simple "Crank-Relearn" process that helps from what I have read on the Forums.

Do Ford dealers sell Ford Racing parts? I'm just thinking if they have the scanner there and can just charge me for the tune and installation then I don't have to even bother with getting/returning the unit itself (I'm going to have them install the tune anyway to keep the warranty intact)...
Ford Racing Pro-Cal
Stopped by the dealer for another issue today, and asked if they sell Ford Racing products (didn't specify I was interested in the tune).
The tech said "We don't sell them, but we definitely install them. You should look up their tune & muffler package- just make sure you budget for the tires you're gonna tear up with it!"
So now I'm searching around for where I'm gonna buy the FRPP Procal (looking like AmericanMuscle).

I called American Muscle when I was looking to order my $289 ProCal they would not price match, so I ordered it from BuyFordRacing.com and had a local "Mod Friendly" Ford Dealership install and Register the Warranty for me for less then $80 while I waited on a lunch break.
