Flowmaster axleback

Back with a new user name. I bought a flowmaster American thunder axle back exhaust last week and because I guess I'm getting old, it's a little louder than I want. I' m looking to sell or trade for a flowmaster force II exhaust. It's for a 2013 GT. If anybody is interested, email me.

Go with a manga flow street axle back or the ford racing axle back. Nice but mellow for us older guys. I had an American thunder kit in my 2011 GT. It was noisy.

I'll look into the Ford Racing axle back. I think I'm going to change back to stock this weekend if I have time and the weather cooperates. I need to sell the flowmasters before I get anything else.

does an aftermarket axle back affect your tune (lean) or performance?

A tune couldn't hurt (depending on who does the tune and how it's tuned I guess it could lol) , but it's by no means required in order to switch out to an aftermarket axleback setup. Won't hurt anything or change much of anything to just bolt an aftermarket setup on and drive away.

Axle backs are purely for sound. They have little to no effect of a stock car. Probably holds true to a basic bolt on car as well.

The same thing happened to me except I had installed the Roush AB. I had mine for about six months before I decided I needed something a little quieter. I chose the GT500 AB and couldn't be happier. I just turned 47 and I guess I don't like exhaust as loud as I used to.
