With these times, the new GT 500 better be a beast! At this point, an 11' GT is going to make a Gt500 owner pretty pissed at the track. Especially when he says, Tune/OR pipe/spray and slicks...

It's always amusing that the GT500 always has to be stock in comparisons. I can guarantee you that you won't find one GT500 owner, anywhere, that wishes they had a GT. =)

But you MAY find GT500 owners that wish they had an 'SE'....

A GT500 who wishes they had a SE wouldn't wish for it, they'd buy it. =)
I can tell you I won't be interested unless it has a hand built, Romeo Niche line supercharged engine. If I want N/A, I'll get a Vette.

I wouldn't be pissed. GT500 will always go faster mod for mod. Nitrous isn't impressive to me really. You can spray a civic and be faster than a GT500. Does that make the civic cool?

YOU CAN GUARANTEE that huh? Sounds like you have some sort of complex and you must own a GT500 since anytime these types of convo's come up you are quick to make snide remarks about GT owners.
I want a GT and don't want a GT500. I can afford the GT500, yep sure can. However I will build a kit cobra for my true speed fetish with a big block FE motor and use my GT as my daily driver but that is my preference.

I dunno, with the modest mods done on this car and to be running like this, you sure could save quite a bit of cash picking up a stripper 5.0 and adding these mods and yea, you'd **** off a LOT of GT500 owners.

Anyway, enough interwebz drama. Great job from JPC(they did my Whipple install & tune). I think it's pretty cool the car has been out for 1 month with no real aftermarket support yet and guys are getting into the 10's. I'm genuinely impressed.

You could also save quite a bit of cash just modding a fox body, and smoke anything. Would you now rather have the fox?

Btw, MM&FF's website has the story on the run, along with the mod list. I'll sum up in case some don't want to look it up: aftermarket 31 spline axles, spool and 4.56 gears, Metco LCA's, fabbed catted xpipe and Basanni axlebacks, passenger seat removed and driver's side racing seat installed, giggle gas (100 wet) and slicks and skinnies. I think that about covers it.
