With these times, the new GT 500 better be a beast! At this point, an 11' GT is going to make a Gt500 owner pretty pissed at the track. Especially when he says, Tune/OR pipe/spray and slicks...

You can sit there for an hour and it won't affect your ET guess he wasn't ready on time. I've done that before.

Not much traction aid on that track surface. I thought the guys shoes were going to come off as he walked.

I wouldn't be pissed. GT500 will always go faster mod for mod. Nitrous isn't impressive to me really. You can spray a civic and be faster than a GT500. Does that make the civic cool?

It's always amusing that the GT500 always has to be stock in comparisons. I can guarantee you that you won't find one GT500 owner, anywhere, that wishes they had a GT. =)

It means its faster...

I can guarantee you that you won't find one GT500 owner, anywhere, that wishes they had a GT.
no they'll just wish they had traction...
But you MAY find GT500 owners that wish they had an 'SE'....

The GT500 is the slowest Mustang then, because I could make both a GT and V6 faster then its stock time. Thanks Boomer, I didn't realize the GT500 was the base model.

A GT500 who wishes they had a SE wouldn't wish for it, they'd buy it. =)

I can tell you I won't be interested unless it has a hand built, Romeo Niche line supercharged engine. If I want N/A, I'll get a Vette.

You made a statement about the car being cooler...
I made a statement about the civic being faster...

Money not withstanding, I'm more interested in the SE than a GT500.
They both serve their purpose...

you sure do make some bold statements......

YOU CAN GUARANTEE that huh? Sounds like you have some sort of complex and you must own a GT500 since anytime these types of convo's come up you are quick to make snide remarks about GT owners.

I want a GT and don't want a GT500. I can afford the GT500, yep sure can. However I will build a kit cobra for my true speed fetish with a big block FE motor and use my GT as my daily driver but that is my preference.

They aren't snide remarks. They are just statements I make

Really! I bet you I could. Some guys have spent 50k on their car plus 5k in mods to get where a bolt on 5.0L is apparently at. Seems that you got a little ruffled with my comments. I was not bashing the GT500 owners, but know that their butthole would pucker knowing that their Pulley/tuned GT500 is running the same times as as geared/bolt on 5.0 (not even comparing the spray times). N/A the car has gone 11.6@119mph, and I use this because I know that you are not impressed by spray..

Wow. Defensive, much? You have quite the 'superiority' complex.

I dunno, with the modest mods done on this car and to be running like this, you sure could save quite a bit of cash picking up a stripper 5.0 and adding these mods and yea, you'd **** off a LOT of GT500 owners.

Anyway, enough interwebz drama. Great job from JPC(they did my Whipple install & tune). I think it's pretty cool the car has been out for 1 month with no real aftermarket support yet and guys are getting into the 10's. I'm genuinely impressed.

You could also save quite a bit of cash just modding a fox body, and smoke anything. Would you now rather have the fox?

Btw, MM&FF's website has the story on the run, along with the mod list. I'll sum up in case some don't want to look it up: aftermarket 31 spline axles, spool and 4.56 gears, Metco LCA's, fabbed catted xpipe and Basanni axlebacks, passenger seat removed and driver's side racing seat installed, giggle gas (100 wet) and slicks and skinnies. I think that about covers it.
