Exhaust Question

Will a 2008 GT500 stock cat back exhaust fit on a 2011 GT.

An MGW shifter is at the top of my mod list as well.

I'm also really thinking about suspension upgrades, but since I'm starting with the Track Pack already I figure I should drive the car for a while before I pull the trigger on Koni Sports and Steeda Sport springs.

Tunes and FI will be more of an option down the road once my warranty is near it's end.
Check out the Magnaflow Quad Tip catback. Its about the same price as the 2 of the 2013 GT500 mufflers and I love it on my 2012.

Couple that with exceptional quality and Borla research and customer service, it's game set match.
it.
I agree Borla S type is numero uno but for a fraction of cost the -resonator GT500s is an honorable second.

Everyone will most likely recommend what they have but get the full system, Borla S + X pipe= sex. It's a very simple equation...

You do mean borla x pipes and borla over the axle pipes right? The full borla s cat back system? I'm thinking about getting it versus the boss quads...

My Borla X-pipe is cracked all along the weld at the 'X'. Borla said they will send a new one but I need my original invoice. Of course that's the one thing I can't find in my folder of car stuff, when tho I have every invoice for every bolt. Aaand the vendor I bought them from hasn't answered my email in 4 days. GRRRRRR

Anthony, this scares me. Usually, I thought borla quality is top notch? Hmmm maybe I should go the boss quad route instead.

Do you have a vid of your full cat back system with good sound, please?

I never took any videos unfortunately. I had one but it came out so distorted.

If the X didn't have those supporting brackets in front/behind the X, it probably would've split right apart. I also was never a fan of that style X-pipe (2 pieces of pipe cut open and welded together). To me, it looked hacked, but I had faith in Borla's R&D. It sounded great, however, I always preferred the design like Bassani's X pipe, which is about to go on.

IMO, I've heard the sound of the boss, in videos, and it seems to distort the way the mufflers sound. Adds too much "open pipe' sound.

Now just to get my invoice and get a new one.

I wouldn't think too much about it, unless you've heard other similar experiences. There's always going to be a some faulty ones, and it sucks when you are the one that gets it but it's seems that Borla is willing to send him a new one.
