Easy Mod - Painted my OEM Strut Tower Brace

My Bama tuner will be here tomorrow...

In preparation I installed the used JLT CAI I bought off a forum member ....

I noticed the STB was too "in your face" since nothing else under the hood was Silver.

I masked the GT emblem, Sanded and painted it with Semi-Gloss Black Engine paint ....

Everything blends now ....

I second the above comment. I like the blue plug covers too. I might have to do this.

dmhines,

The Carbon Fiber JLT looks sick under the hood & definitely delivers awesome power. I see your Bama tuner is on time to be delivered today, Our Tunes will wake that coyote up! With these two items installed on our 11,12 & 13 GT's we saw gains of 30+RWHP(with a tune)! From the factory, the manufacturer programs their vehicles to cater to the needs of the daily driver, not the performance enthusiast. After loading the custom Bama Tune on a vehicle, even a lightly modified Mustang it will realize huge gains in HP, Torque, and Fuel Economy.

I love what you did with the 5.0 emblem & Strut bar, Looks very slick & unique!

Hit me up if you have any questions & let me know how you like the tunes when you load them up!

- Dan

Looks awesome! I was thinking of doing this myself a few weeks ago. Probably Plastidip it to start, to see if I like it.

Burton, your car is like mine. Exterior mods but very few things done under the hood. Coil covers, hood struts, etc

Can you tell a difference in handling with the STB?

I don't think so. My 2012 had it from factory. My 2010 also had one but I took it off to install a SuperShaker ... I never noticed a difference.

Did mine a while back, like the subtle change under the hood it gives!
