Not even an axleback eh? wow... those are great numbers. Stock tires too? How do you get a Bama tune? something I can just buy from vendor, and reflash myself or is that a dyno tune (custom).
Btw, that link on your sig for the 11.74, outputs to an e-mail draft.... not sure that's what you wanted???

GT500 Axleback, I was listing things that actually add hp lol. 18" radials, and check out American Muscle's website, they have EXCELLENT customer service and can explain the entire tune process to you. Basically you buy a handheld SCT device that allows you to load tunes onto your ECU through the OBDII port under you dash.
I think the email thing is a function on the webiste when you use the @ symbol. I don't know how to get rid of that.

I think with a CAI, throttle body, longtubes, full catless 3" exhaust, 4.10s or better, some weight reduction, and maybe a light driveshaft and wheels a Boss intake would be a nice compliment. It also compliments any forced induction well.
I firmly believe on a CAI/tune (even O/R x pipe) car the boss intake hurts more than it helps.
I don't mean to bash the boss intake every chance I get, and I think I may have commented in your other thread (I usually open my mouth everytime someone starts talking about a boss intake) but I just want to point out that for the majority of people (CAI/tune, maybe x pipe) a boss intake isn't (IMO) worth the money. I just hope that anybody who installs a boss intake has a true back to back comparison of performance, not SOTP. Either dyno your car back to back, or run it at the track back to back, or race someone with a close car back to back and make sure you realize what its doing to your car.

Yeah I saw that time slip before, what all were his mods? Because after running what I ran I don't see that as impressive...
My point still stands, do a back to back comparison of your car with and without the boss intake (1/4 mile, race a friend, or dyno) and I don't think you will be impressed.
Bama picked up like 3 hundredths or something silly switching the intake. I think their car had a few bolt ons too.

I have to agree with that. Look in the new issue of either mmff or 5.0 magazine(can't remember which). Says beefcake put on the boss intake with his vortech and actually ran slower so swapped the stocker back on.

On a even field a person with more power to the ground has a potential to run better times! Now granted suspension mods, weight reduction mods, tires, track prep, and temp. Play roles in this also. But like I said on a even field more power to the ground = better times on the track and that is a fact!

I just didn't think it was worth giving up mid-range torque and some mid-range hp just to gain it back up top. I know if u keep pulling the hp will keep going but I certainly wouldn't take my redline past 7500. I think they look beautiful and was on the fence about gettin one but what finally made up my mind was when evolution perf( where I bought blower) told me "not to bother getting one" that"it wasn't worth it".
