I remember reading threads about the 5.0 being different than the 4.6. That the 5.0 PCM had another way to tell besides what shows up when you disconnect the battery.

But the explanation by Diablo is that this new device only rewrites certain parameters and therefore does not leave a trace vs a full rewrite.

 

I hope its true

 

There is a guy on SVT that is getting a deal on one with the sole purpose to go to Ford and see if they can detect he was tuned. Stay tuned to that thread for more info. This could be big, below is a link to a Intune customer in which GM claimed to see a tune but then admitted they could not and covered warranty work

Wish I knew about this before buying my itsx.

 

Customer service is winning many customers these days... I won't be the first to switch but won't hesitate to switch if diablosport proves worthy

 

I wish I woulndt have just bought the tunes I have, I would have went Diablo, especially after being stranded on the road from SCT

I'm working on the Cam Idle tunes with Diablosport software right now, I'm still needing a few extra values added but hope to have them available very soon!

Sorry did not want to start a new thread.

What are the benefits of getting a tuner without upgrades. I will not be going to the track. I basic concern is improving fuel consumption at 87 octane and hiding from the dealer.

 

Throttle response should be improved.

 

Tracking now. Did some research. Will add to my upgrade list.
