Delete downhill assist W/ tune?

Will any of the tunes have a disable feature for the downhill assist function? That is really annoying, I'll buy a tune just to get rid of that, (well, and to get more power and raise the rev limit to a true 7,000).

Edit.....FORGET WHAT I SAID.

I just went out to replicate what I thought was downhill assist, and after publically saying I thought my manual trans had it, I can't get it to behave like that. Well, good.

Was it the A/C cycling? I didn't have it on for this road test.

Well, from what I've read, it just has a very aggressive torque-assisted decel.

It's very noticeable with muffler deletes. For instance, in my 2008 GT, when you let off the gas at say 4000 RPM in 3rd, it burbles and braps and spits all the way down. With the 2011 GT, it starts to burble and spit, but about 2 seconds into it, it "purrs" all the way down.

I know with most cars, above a certain RPM (1500 comes to mind) letting off the gas cuts fuel to the engine. I imagine whatever Ford is doing has something to do with this, perhaps they're still firing the spark plugs to burn excess fuel on the way down? I dunno!

O.K.- so I was feeling something. This is my first fast modern car. Takes some gettin' used to.

Aggressive Deceleration Fuel Shut-off (ADFSO)

• Helps maximize fuel efficiency

• Temporarily interrupts fuel delivery and consumption
when the vehicle normally slows down while
maintaining normal engine operation

• System uses the transmission to keep the engine
running at a low, more fuel-efficient operating level
whenever possible

• Normal fuel delivery resumes when the vehicle
reaches a low speed or when the driver accelerates

• Helps maintain excellent driveability with a
Ford-proprietary software that integrates the
fuel shut-off technology with the V6 and V8
powertrain operation

• System is automatic and requires no interaction from
the driver
