Quote: 301A+ Brembo... plus $13k towards my mortgage.

I'm a pretty average driver but I'd put my George Foreman grill on the line to say that it would take a MUCH better driver than me to run significantly better lap times, even with a Boss.

As I said earlier, that is the package that I would really want, all things being equal but the performance difference isn't justified by the 35% price increase.
13k towards a mortgage is a much better idea than 13k into a depreciating asset.

You'll like either car.

Sounds likevyou follow Dave Ramsey. And I agree, the extra money is better spent towards paying down the house. When that is done, buy a Shelby cash

Yeah my 300A with Brembo's and 3.73's stickered for $32,195.
Yes the Base GT is a little spartan when it comes to options but I always prefered Performance or Fluff, and for that reason I know I would love a Boss.
Although with some adjustable shocks and a watt's link I would probably be 85% of the way there.

I bought my Boss for MSRP the week it came out. I can make a miata faster than your Brembo 300a for about 15k including car. The Boss is made to beat on week after week at the track, survive, and still have warranty.

Well I went with a Silver Brembo GT.
2011 Mustang GT - Premium, Brembo and 3.73

I will change to Steeda sport springs/Koni sport dampers and add a Boss oil cooler, trans cooler, diff cover.
Along with the proper fluids.
This should help at the track . . . then go from there.

I really like the premium fluff, after all, it will be a DD 9 months of the year.
The power seat is great, the stock manual seats are to low for me (5'10")

My boosted 2000 Miata (with a stock bottom end) would have bested the Boss in any competition other than top speed for a lot less than $15k. That car was a catapult on wheels...not sure how long the crank was going to hold up to 14psi though. Sold it before I found out.

If you're talking about an autocross situation, all you would need is a set of performance tires and a decent driver to spank an average driver in a Boss

I gotta ask...
How much is different INTERNALLY from the BOSS & the GT..

The intake manifold and cams.

(Other then some electronics for the track key..

What makes the BOSS last longer in YOUR opinion than a GT under week after week of abuse ?

If you beat the **** out these cars daily.. you'll end up with that in the long run (That's my opinion.. getting on it once and awhile is fine & fun, but daily.. beating the b@lls off it.. I don't think 1 will last any longer than the other..

More than just intake manifold and cams. No oil squirters, different pistons and rods as well.
