Brembo GT vs Boss 302
Brembo GT vs Boss 302
If your not looking for the bling of the Boss graphics, would a Brembo GT
be the better way to go?
The Boss motor is a great value to the package.
I think the 2013 Boss Mustang can be had at or under MSRP.

Dam you FORD....There, I feel better
I have a brembo gt and as a daily driver I think it's the way to go. That said, I would love Love LOVE a Boss. For me, and that's clearly just me, I would miss my electronics package, and some of the other, "luxuries" if I had the boss. But, both are awesome.

I agree with all the above. I'll add that the collector value is also based on the sheer low amount of Boss 302s produced over these two years. Anyone can slap on some Brembos and other bolt on crap and make it more 'powerful' than the Boss. Also, can make it better looking.
For me, my money would be on the Boss. for what I stated above. Not to mention I've been in three of them, Laguna Seca included. Of course I'd prefer the #00001 Boss (some guy in TX has that in Comp Orange...)

Well for you guys that would take a boss but miss your luxeries of the premium GT, then you might be in luck. enough people have made comments towards ford that theyre going to be adding some new options to the upcoming 2013 boss. i know theyre adding sync, also ive heard theyre adding the 4.2 inch LCD screen that the f-150's and super duties have on their dashes. ive heard people asking ford to offer the electronics package as an option. its going to be interesting to see what happens. im also excited for the new colors that theyre going to be offering.
finally, boss #0001 DID belong to a very very very lucky guy in texas but he sold it on ebay for over $100,000.

It really boils down to what you're looking for. If you're looking for a sporty DD and plan on some occasional track time, and appreciate the creature comforts, then the Brembo GT would be the way to go.
If you want a more performance oriented car, but at the sacrifice of comfort options, then the Boss is the way to go.
If a Boss had HIDs and Sync, I would have waited a bit for it. I'm not mad buying the GT one bit. Depends on your final thoughts on what you want to do.

The base GT with a Brembo option, a DD and HPDE.
This should be $11k less, using $2k more for D-Spec shocks/springs,
exhaust, CAI and tune.
This should => to a Boss.
It will never hold the value like a Boss 302.

Great comparison, the Brembo 5.0 is a great sleeper.
I forgot to add the 3.73, but on a road coarse, using 5th gear would be needed on some tracks.
Thanks . . .

I want a race car for the street, not a Brembo GT. No offense meant
No offense taken, I just don't want a "spoiled" boss, and knowing that I'm going to modify my car, I would rather mod a GT premium then hurt the value of a boss.
And I know what you mean about being spoiled by the radio, after the shaker its hard to go back to..... Crap

Wheels,Tires,Brakes, and supposedly has different shocks/struts. I wanted a Boss but refused to pay the dealers extra charges. Id Love to have the piece of mind knowing the Boss engine since its forged but if I keep my 5.0 long enough Ill just get the COYOTE ALUMINATOR.
