Boss Side Exhaust & Car Jack

As we speak, I'm getting the Boss side exhaust installed on my new GT.

Question is, will a dealership have to be careful when lifting her on car jacks, etc to avoid damaging them?

Please only those with them on the car respond.

Cheers.

You probably need to tell them about your side exhaust whenever you have it raised. The dealer knows when it's a Boss, but if you don't let them know, they will most likely squish the ends.

You could probably purchase a set of the Pinch Weld Lift Pads from ZL1addons.com. I have a set for my GT (No Boss Side Exhaust). But I am sure they probably have a set that would fit that application. Only about $40 for a set. And they should provide clearance for hoist arms.

Just make sure they know you have a quad exhaust and you should be ok...

Never had a problem & two shop oil changes and a tire rotation since the install. I think the shop gets a lot of nicer vehicles in, it's part of the dealer ship, they want happy customers.

Any shop worth doing business with will look under the car and place the lifts or jacks properly based on the way the car is equipped, factory or not. No one should ever just lift a car without watching as the lift contacts the car......

I have them on my GT and never had a problem. Most mechanics will look where to place the arm.

Exactly.

Any shop that starts to jack the car up without looking under it, you should just jump in your car and drive away from and never go back.
