Cool Best axleback for 5.0

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a better sounding axleback exhaust for my 5.0, I will not like to hear drone, neither too much sound to be a magnet for the local PD. I'm divided: Roush, Flowmaster Hushpower, the GT500 or stay stock.

M3 Hunter,

Can I provide another option? Here is a link to the Steeda Axle Back exhaust that contains a video as well. From what you described, I think it would be the perfect fit. Let me know if you have any questios?

Thank You

TJ

If you don't want drone I probably wouldn't recommend the Hushpowers then. I have them and I love them. But many people have complained that they have drone. It doesn't bother me, but it might bother you.

Here's a video of mine:

Exhaust is the most discussed topic on here. Check out the sticky at the top with videos and sound clips for every option out there.

Gt500 is a very shuttle increase over Stock. I think they sound good but noticed u were comparing Roush/GT500. One is very loud and one is just a nice low rumble.

I already made up my mind. I think that the best choice (for me) will be the GT500 axleback, for the reasons mentioned, (not drone, no getting atention from the PD), great sound and price. (I'm planning to keep the GT500 axleback exhaust, stock for the moment without the X Pipe or without removing the resonators.)
My second choice if I was not interested on the points mentioned above (drone, PD) , was the Roush axleback exhaust, mentioned by "Car and Driver" as one of their favorite exhausts sounds, and they really sound great (but very loud for my taste).
Flowmaster Hushpower, probably will fall somewhere in the middle, also a good choice.
On other axleback I can not comment, since I'm not well related to them, probably they also should be good, depending on personal choice.

I love the way the Roush mufflers are so deep at idle. But they do get loud when you get on it.

I love my GT500's. Definitely remove the resonators. It makes them just a touch louder than normal.

The GT500's are 6lb lighter than stock, Not to mention will reduce weight by 12lbs by removing the resonators.

Roush ab are loud but that's what i wanted bc I can't take off my cats do to emissions testing once a yr and they put a mirror under the car to make sure they are there. I haven't had any problems with the cops in Nashville and I make it obnoxious sometimes.

Great thing about roush is that when I used to see cops, I would baby the throttle and it was very quiet. I will be ordering another pair for my 2013.

I gotta throw up a vote for Bassani. Had the axlebacks and xpipe on my '05, and now the axlebacks and another brand xpipe on my '11.

Bassani with or without cats sounds GREAT!

Borla S types are absolutely awesome! I drove the car for 5000 miles in two weeks and I never got tired of the exhaust note, not for one second. They cost a little more, but totally worth it. With that said, I think I'm going to put the boss side exit exhaust on my 13...

Gt500 ftw. Best blend of muscle car rumble without being obnoxious. It's how an American ford v8 muscle car should sound, straight from the factory. Now if you wanted loud and obnoxious, not the one for you. Have you listened to my exhaust video on YouTube? I don't have the link right now.

Love my GT500s. Sound great, OEM, no drone, perfect fit, and really inexpensive. Listen to as many vids on YouTube as you can, catch all the different sounds, read up in the forums, and pick the one you like best. Enjoy - it's a fun process! Here's my vid:
