Bama Hybrid tune - 11.9 @ 119

Was at a buddies house, he has a cobra on a DR that isn't running and we decided lets bolt them on the 5.0 and test out my new tune....

The car isn't even a full bolt on car at this point, I am playing around with fabbing up a set of side exits off the LT's so it is a factory exhaust manifold, BBR off road x, factory pipe and roush A/B's mind you.

Next will be suspension and look for mid 11's.

The new tune is Bama's "hybrid" tune that they just released. Very please with the tune, can use some revision but without a doubt it pulls harder then my "race" tune did IMO. Some tweaks and I will be set.

...

So... with an off-road X pipe, axle back exhaust and this new "hybrid tune" you ran 11.9 with a 6 spd car?

Please tell me what I have wrong here because this doesn't add up.

I have heard of people doing this with automatic cars...was this a manual?

Besides, slicks are a huge part of this formula...and definitely not stock.

That is hard to swallow. Seen car with tune and tires run 11.8 but 11.5 with no tune. Must be a record.

More or less it gives you alot of low end torque and more top end power.

Factory headers, BBR catless x pipe, factory pipe into a roush A/B, tune, JLT, barton shifter, 6 speed car, on a BFG radial at 100% full weight.

Was that aimmed at the stock 11.5 or me?

I agree...11.5 on a FULL stock car is reaching..

I have run 2 stock 5.0s and it wasn't much of a race...

From what I read in some of there posts is it gives you all the characteristic of the low end torqueof"performance" tune and the top end power of the "race" tune. I am VERY happy with it. I plan on going BACK with my 93 cam tune, 93 race and 93 hybrid and see what I come up with.

I honestly think all the tunes are so close to each other. I have driven a Lund tuned car with more or less the same mods and the car felt the same IMO. I went with Bama for the free tunes for life, and the possibility of them even helping me if the motor pops. The car is moving plenty fast enough with my Bama tuned car.
