Are any of the CAI kits C.A.R.B. legal?

Are any of the typical CAI kits available out there carb legal? I know the JLT kit says in big letters its not, what about the air raid or Steeda? I don't think I'm due for a smog for a while but about the time I'm going to be able to afford a kit and tune. Meh... Figures.

Nope, none are CARB legal because they do away with the oem hydrocarbon trap.

Fahck. Well, I guess I keep the factory stuff and just swap it back and throw the stock tune back in it when it's time for smog...

I can't speak for the 5.0, but the 08/09 Bullitts were 50 state legal and they used the FRPP CAI from the factory on the 4.6. You might check Ford Racing.

You shouldn't need a check until 2017. Just swap it back when the time comes. That's what I'll be doing in 2019....
