Is an aftermarket differential cover worth it?

I have a 2011 GT. I track this car 3-4 times per year (road-race-course). Otherwise it's my daily driver, very low miles (work from home). The car runs great on the track with some mild mods (see my sig below). I'm wondering...is an aftermarket differential cover worth it? Will this really help to cool, protect, and prolong my car's rear end? Or is it just for looks? All opinions welcome. Thanks!

For most it's just cosmetic.

The GT500/BOSS/Track Pack finned cover will help cool and has ports for a oil cooler.

The support style has support bolts that reinforce the differential main caps and are good for high power drag cars.

Thanks! Yup, I read up on the Ford part and the Steeda part (essentially the same thing). About $125. I'm thinking that for 3-4 track days per year it isn't necessary for my application. And I checked with my Ford dealer's Performance Division Manager and he said the GT's diff is pretty stout and can handle a mild track duty in stock form perfectly safely. If you learn more, please share, thanks again!
