AEM intake tube kit, worth it?

I’m interested in this intake tube kit from AEM and wondering if anyone has any experience with it? Do you think it’s worth doing?

Are there any 50 state legal CAI’s?

Or this K&N:

Though I think I prefer the dry filter of the AEM

To be honest I don’t think this will really do anything. Gains in these things come from the timing advance and fuel remap in the tune, not so much the filter itself. Plus the 11+ stock cold air intake is quite good.

I agree with 5.MONSTER, an intake tube or filter by itself does almost nothing. The biggest gains come from a tune, but a tune with a new air intake will net you more than the tune itself.

Thanks everyone! I just had stumbled across that intake tube while looking for a performance “dry” filter. Car might end up in CA so not looking to do anything that’s not CARB approved at this point.

Thinking about possibly doing the FRPP Pro-Cal tune

That would be a better way to go in my opinion. Good luck!
