AEM intake?
I know AEM brand is more associated with Honda. This looks like a nice alternative though for the 13-14 GT owners out there. I am sure, it can easly be spray painted with other colors.

IMO, it's the best intake out there for our cars.
A bigger tube has less of an effect than a smoother tube and if you're going to tune the car anyway, a bigger opening with a stock MAF sensor doesn't do much either.
This is why most people say that the gains JLT and such show are 98% from the tune and not the intake.
The other issues IMO are the sealing against the hood. Sometimes they don't and even if they do the strip wears out over time. So you get heat soak issues.
The AEM uses a closed box with OEM snorkel to eliminate that problem. But has a conical filter and smoother tube to give some gains. I like that it can be used without a tune too. And I think it looks awesome under the hood.
Supposedly AEM dyno tests with the hood down and still got 8 hp. When they tested other intakes that claim gains under the same conditions, they lost power.
I also look at other cars like the M3. Their best intake on the market and one that gives good power is nothing more than a conical filter in the stock box and a new inlet tube. Pretty much the same thing as what AEM did.

As far as being a "Honda brand". With my imports I always preferred Injen intakes. That being said AEM is a major brand for intakes and has the know how. When I was in that realm I'd never heard of Airraid and BBK. Plus AEM is made in the USA and owned by K&N.
