Dyno'ed my car at Fastlane Performance in Houston today... Awesome shop! Nick and mike gave me a tour and they have some ridiculous stuff in there. ZR9 chevy silverado was pretty awesome. Anyways, I'd highly recommend the shop and I'll be working with them in the future for sure. Here's the verdict...
Mods: Boss intake, Steeda CAI, tune, and Borla catback

Seems low for a dynojet. I would expect this from just a tune and CAI. You would probably see more if you had a o/r x pipe. Did you dyno it in fifth gear? What octane you running?
I guess trap times would really let you know how much power your car is putting down.
have you ever dynoed it stock?

5th gear, 93 octane, never dyno'ed it stock.. 98 degrees at time of dyno. At least we'll have a nice before and after for when I get a set of LTs

Also, props to steeda! Fastlane only charged me for dyno time bc they could only beat the steeda tune by 5hp... No money for the retune was pretty cool IMO

349lb of torque? Seems kinda low with your set up. I know you lose low end torque with the Boss 302 intake but still. You better post dyno results after having you LT's installed! Also, I see you dynoed in 5th, would you consider 4th? I read on another site that some people have done that. I'm not a dyno expert by any means so I could be wrong. Anyway, things look good friend.

Ya... I was very pleased to cross the 400 mark on hp and pretty disappointed with the torque loss although i have nothing to compare it to. That being said, I honestly never felt the loss ( although I admit I drive like a total grandma)... The guys at the shop attributed the loss to the boss intake and told me LTs and ORXpipe would really open it up and likely show some impressive torque gains... LTs are for sure my next mod. They highly recommended the ARH LTs and everyone there swore by them... They said the collectors on the borla xr1 LTs really hold them back. Now I don't know which ones I want. On the intake: to be honest, I only installed the boss intake bc I got it cheap and I think it looks badass no regrets

What all did they have to say about the XR-1's? They said the collectors hold them back? I'm not seeing how that's possible seeing as how they're racing exhaust headers but I'm no expert. Keep me posted on what you decide to go with. I agree with them that LT's and an O/R X-pipe would help a ton. You might also want to look into getting a 1 piece driveshaft. Better performance and less rotating mass. Most 1 piece shafts for the 11-12 GT's are weighing 15-20 pounds less than the stock 2 piece. You need to get that low end torque back asap!

Ya... They didn't have any dyno's to show me but they said they are consistently seeing the biggest gains with ARH LTs. They said the xr1s look amazing on the car but have small collectors which they attributed to the gains being shy of ARH and kooks systems they've installed. That being said they've only done one pair of xr1s on a new 5.0 thus far so not alot to compare to... They seemed to unanimously feel that ARH had the best system for the new 5.0. Will a new driveshaft help much with torque? I've never modded a car past axle backs and CAI until this one

Hmm, I'll have to do some more research on headers before I make a firm decision. ARH is still my second choice but I'd really like a Borla set up from headers to the exhaust tips. A one piece driveshaft will help transfer power alot more effectivly to the rear wheels, also handles alot more power. Like I said in my earlier post, they also weigh less. Personally, I'm going with a Dynotech 1 piece 3.5" diameter carbon fiber driveshaft. Pretty expensive investment but my initial set up will be for road racing once its complete and my final stage will be for extreme road racing and occasionally drag racing so I need a driveshaft that will transfer power the best and handle high amounts of horsepower. Ask anyone who's modded a 5.0 and they'll all say one of the most important mods is a 1 piece driveshaft. Keep me posted on what you decide to go with.

Nice HP numbers. LTs help a great deal. The Boss intake torque numbers have kept me from that mod but it sure does look good. I went from 362/355 on a Dynojet to 418/397. The LTs give about 20ftlb through power band. I have a very conservative canned tune from Steeda and the A/F was a little rich but that is not bad. It was hot and humid that day. I plan on doing the driveshaft and dyno tune soon. burn rubber....

When I do get LTs do you think I'd see better torque gains if I switched to an ORHpipe as opposed to an ORXpipe? Every time I look into which is better for what I get 50/50 answers...

Might gain 1-2lbs with the h while the x has 1-2hp more. I'd go with whatever sounds better.

Good numbers and don't worry when you do Longtubes and a blower your TQ will comeback

I made 406rwhp/387rwtq with stock headers Steeda CAI,BlowbyRacing 91 tune and Magnaflow catted X-pipe with comp series catback.

I would go with the ARH 1 7/8 Longtubes I love mine and they fit like a glove and no leaks.

The ARH 1 7/8 LTs are most likely the route I'm going to go... Heard nothing but good things
