3.73s or 4.10s?
3.73s or 4.10s?
OK... So, I poked around before posting this thread to avoid repetition, but I couldn't figure something out. I feel Luke 4.10 gears on my 5.0 are what I want and I can handle the daily driving... But I drive between Houston and Austin (200 miles) at least once a month. Would the 4.10s be more trouble than it's worth with this monthly trip? If I did go with 4.10s, am I going to be at 3000 rpms the whole drive when I'm doing 70? Thanks for the help!
Don't bother.
The the 4.10s are not that much lower than the 3.73s.
I would not bother to change. It is more trouble than it is worth IMO.
On the other hand, if you do it the rpms won't be that much different.

If you are changing for 3.73 to 4.10's. I wouldnt bother.
But if you are going from 3.31's definately get the 4.10's. 70 is about 2400-2500 rpm. You really dont notice the revs unless you are cruising at 85+. Normal driving is fine. I have them on my car and I drive 80 miles roundtrip every day. Mostly highway. I love em. Makes 6th gear somewhat useful.
Good luck with your decision.

If you have 3.31s (I assumed from your post you had 3.73s), go ahead with the 4.10s.
