Cool 2013 GT 80-150mph Acceleration Test w/ Steeda CAI and Bama Tune!

Quick acceleration test in my 2013 Mustang GT with a Steeda CAI, Bama 92 octane hybrid tune, and Pypes Pype Bomb axle back exhaust as the only performance mods. Not too bad, even shifting slow from 4th-5th and 5th-6th lol. Definitely recommend this mod combo for people looking add a little more pep to their 5.0!

That's smooth, how do you like the Pypes Exhaust? I'm almost sold on the Bama and Steeda combo for my 2013.

Watching your "Miles to empty drop" was entertaining too.

Thanks! I love the pypes exhaust. Sounds great and good quality too. And it's inexpensive.

And yeah I didn't notice that lol.

Did you replace the drive shaft? Didn't see anything in your signature about it? Does this video dispel the drive shaft failures at 130?

lol thanks! and yeah it sucks, but it isn't thaaat bad. yeah I have 3.73s and no not at redline (probably around 6500). It was a slow 5-6 shift, but after getting it in 6th, it didn't take long to go from 140-150!

No and I haven't heard anything about that on the GTs.

It depends on your gear ratio. My 3.31 hits the limiter in 5th gear around 5k rpm's and is still pulling hard when it hits. These are truly amazing cars!

Great video Jeff! It looks like your 13' GT is really moving down the street now with your new Hybrid tune. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your new set up, let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks everyone! Yeah with 3.73s, it limits the speed in each gear a lot compared to 3.31s and 3.55s.

Guys... any issue with the Bama tune, esp with "pinging"? I hope not. Reason for the question, buddy of mine withe FRPP tune, he says he notices that when revving/shifting at high rpms he can tell there pinging sound going on in there. He worries he's damaging the car...

which is why, with all the warranty scares, I haven't done anything to tune.

Supposed to have a little more low end grunt.

I haven't had any pinging. I try to be safe though. I always get tuned for 1-2 octane less than I run. So I'm running an 87 street tune with 89 gas, 92 performance tunes with 93 octane gas, etc.

And the FRPP tune isn't the best...

Pretty cool vid!

Why is it a "hybrid" tune?
What's different about it?

Allows you to run different octanes ?

I've never personally experiences detonation but I've heard quite a lot that if you hear a metallic pinging that it is detonation and it will damage your motor and heads. Better check it out soon

No it basically combines the top end pull of the race tune with the low end streetability of the street tune.
