My best stock set up times were 12.7 - 12.8 at 110 - 112 mph. The time slips are not dark enough for the print to show up in a picture.
When I ran the 11.98 I was running M/T drag radials. I had to set my rev limiter at 7,600 rpm's. I was tacking 7,500 at the finish line in 4th gear. They tell me that my left front tire had about 6 inches of air at the launch. Wish I had a video but I don't.

His signature says 6M.
No, this was my 2011 GT with the 6M transmission. The same day I ran my 11.98 et one of my buddy's with an automatic 2011 GT and the same mods as I had ran an 11.88 et. I had to launch at 4,000 rpm's and make sure I shifted gears at 7,000 rpm's watching the tach until I got in 4th gear. All my buddy had to do was leave at idle in drive mash the gas pedal and hold on. I decided to join the laid back automatic guys. There is less chance of making a mistake and less chance of breaking something with the automatic not to mention they are a tick quicker. I have not taken my new automatic to the strip as yet, but I will.
Like so many posts the orginal post gets side lined in another direction. This one seemed to go from the automatic to going against the STEEDA CAI. My post was to defend the STEEDA CAI which I believe works very well. In addition to that I included that my friends automatic was a tenth faster than my time with the same mods. And, that I am a new convert to the automatic tranny. Sorry if it got confusing.
